Finally! After yet another tedious international break we have the good stuff back.

Villa usually have me worried, they always like to play well against us. Let's just hope for a Chelsea win to kick off my 22nd year here (Even though the match is two days after my birthday).

If that isn't a cry for some birthday wishes I don't know what is. ;)

I will bring the cake and ice cream. Other than a 5 nil Chelsea victory, what would you like, young man?

Edit: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh to get a hat trick.

I'd like to use this opportunity to say that the rep system on this site is totally lame. I think after a certain ammount of time your rep for someone should regenerate, not just after you've given it to some number of other people

Man..Aston Villa..I really do not like playing them. They seem to give us trouble every season. Either way, I'm excited for some club football! :D

Actually, last year, we handled Villa just fine. First at home under Scolari and then Hiddink's 1st game I believe.

Is Young fit for this game?

That was probably the most solid game ever played against a decent team under Scolari ha....

But yes, we've been deprived long enough of Chelsea, can't wait.

Thank Christ! I am a wee bit worried about facing Villa after the break though I am thankful that we come back without any major injuries.

It seems like anytime Chelsea is on TV (for me it's either ESPN or FSC) I miss it because of my soccer games. Honestly, I'm going to be missing a 7:30 game. Thank God for DVR!

Does anyone else fall into the trap of fast forwarding while watching recorded DVR matches?

Anyway, I'm feeling 1-1 on this all the way.

There is a great way to solve this problem. That's to get up and watch it live.

Or just man up and leave your remote alone.

    I wouldn't dare do that.

While getting up at 5 is doable, especially with a little one, DVRing the game has its perks. No HT break, you can skip long pauses and the best part, you can really call out the refs on their mistakes by rewinding the moment as many times as possible.

Good points and yes it's definitely good for football matches.

    Football matches...not Chelsea matches. :D

The one and only negative to DVRing is that in the back of my mind I know the result has already happened. I can't function properly if I know that Chelsea are playing and I'm not watching. Whats worse is if I'm purposely not watching!

I absolutely have to know what is going on and so if I'm missing a match, I have a number of minions and mates giving me text updates.

If you can go back to sleep after, it's cool, but if you got stuff to do, DVRing is probably the best option.

Tell your minions to not text you.

Ballack allegedly out with an ankle injury.

We have a shocking record at Villa, IIRC one win in the last nine and I think this could be another tough one for us, with a draw being a likely outcome.

this is just brutal coming out of an international break, and having to wake up in the dark:mad: how the players supposed to see, Young and Milner, this will be a real test of our system or theres one has to break

    and effing Deco:rolleyes:
