He's turned up at SCR Altach, Nate Jaqua's old club: http://www.scra.at/mannschaften/kampfmannschaft/kader/persons/1/26/161/ Played for California's Arsenal Club and the Hollywood United Hitmen. I think he's an '89 but the club has his age wrong.
He made the All PDL first team after a solid season in midfield with the Hitmen, scoring 4 goals and 3 assists in 14 games. http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/353303.html Is he realted to Jesus and Sammy Ochoa?
Sammy does have a little brother named Norberto who is a national-level youth player. It looks like he played on the same Arsenal (Calif.) club team as Armando Ochoa. I think (but am not sure) he's a bit younger than Armando. Both Sammy and Armando seem to use the name "Oregel" which would certainly suggest a relation.
While Armando was having an All PDL summer, Norberto was having an All Developmental Academy one, as well. U-17/18 Development Academy Starting XI GOALKEEPER (1): Larry Jackson (IMG Academy) DEFENDERS (4): Matt Wiet (Crew Soccer Academy), Taylor Kemp (Real Colorado), Anthony Arena (Crossfire Premier), Daniel Villegas (Miami FC Kendall) MIDFIELDERS (3): Dillon Powers (Andromeda), Andrew Wenger (PA Classics), Norberto Ochoa (Arsenal FC) FORWARDS (3): Ryan Finley (PDA), Rodolfo Godinez (Nomads), Will Bates (Richmond Strikers) http://myespn.go.com/blogs/highscho...iar-names-highlight-Starting-XI-honorees.html BTW, draw what conclusions you will from this, but the only two kids on this list who didn't matriculate to colleges this fall were Ochoa and Villegas, whom other posters on this board tell us is in Brazil as part of a deal with Traffic Sports. Norberto Ochoa was supposedly a senior this past school year but I have no idea what, if anything, he's doing now in terms of soccer. I'd like to think LA or Chivas USA would have him in and try to sign him, but it doesn't always work like that, as we all know to well.
Must spread............ I'm guessing he's somewhere in Mexico then. If he's a 91 hopefully he gets a look for the U-20's next go around. I feel like the youngest brothers always turn out the best.
Norberto Ochoa, a product of Arsenal FC, is playing for Club Brugge in Belgium. per a earlier TDS article. http://bit.ly/VaVfJ
Yeah. So if he's at Club Brugge he must know Jared Jeffrey one would assume. I assume Norberto has U.S. citizenship if Jesus and Sammy do. Hopefully Jared has let Rongen know about Norberto!
Here's an article about his brother, Norberto, which gives some details on the Ochoa family. They are all brothers. Another Ochoa Crosses Atlantic
I looked at the SCR Altach site after reading about another young American that signed with the club. The funny thing was that there was no profile for Armando Ochoa in either the First Team or the Reserves. What happened? He obviously was with the club late last year as he was pictured wearing the team uniform in what appeared to be a profile picture.
According to the Mexican federation, he joined Chetumal (Mexico) sometime during the 2010/2011 season.
