great! i really hope that the J.League allow it, especially for Varen.
Machida have to move to another stadium, because they got a stadium with a capacity of 6,200 and they need a 10,000

it's nice to see that Kyushu is growing in football

    Machida have changed their crest

    http://www.zelvia.jp/index.html

Shouldn't it be "Since 1977" though?

Will they have to share with the Tokyo clubs? I really hope they don't have to do so, but as an early club in the early pro days they will have to do that.

Re: The J. League 100 Years Vision - non-League Club Football

I think that the JFL is one of the most overlooked leagues for amateurs. Some of their matches can be really entertaining. I was actually thinking about trying out for a couple of the clubs.

A little bit off-topic. Do you think that the High schools should switch to a Prefecture League format with a table? I just don't believe that the tournament does some teams justice, although many of the players are at J-League youth sides I believe that it would be a better alternative to the win or go home tournament structure. There are a lot of problems though, involving the schools and how much time should be allocated to extra-curricular activities, but I don't believe that people would care if these league games were scheduled on the weekends.

They really need to look into creating a reserve league. Just seems awkward seeing JEF Reserves playing in the 3rd highest level in Japan.

Yeah, I can't believe that with rosters of 30 and with some of the "satellite" scrimmages with literally thousands of fans (Sanga has sometimes more than 1,000, playing deep in the countryside..) they won't think about it... They can actually make a profit out of it. No need for a super-publicized league, just make regional qualifiers and then a final phase...

Why is that? In Spain the reserve teams play with in the league pyramid, but they aren't allowed to play in the same division or in the Copa Del Rey, although they used to be able to play in the Copa Del Rey.

    Is... Japanese soccer bureaucracy...

By the way, I foresee another nightmare: J2 2010 with nineteen teams...

Yes, and since the dawn of the Japanese league pyramid, we saw the reserve teams of Yanmar (Cerezo) and Yomiuri (Verdy) competing in the old JSL Division 2... Japan should copy England and not Continental Europe!

At least we will have even number of home game. This year half of the clubs have 26 home games and the others are with 25.
