    Link???

And where does the 3M go? Freddy? He doesn't have a club so there would be no transfer fee.

Yes, I heard them say it too. But that don't make it true. Do you know how many things they say every show that are totally false? Alot.

Yep, the same false rumor back in May that Manchester United is pursuing Tim Howard really hard.

It's a headline in one of tomorrow's papers in London, just on Sky Sports News on FSW. I didn't catch the whole story...something about Chelski taking Adu from Man Utd for 3 million pounds. Will believe it when I see more of a story.

    Close but misleading.
The actual story is that Chelsea is in the lead in bidding for Freddy but he has not been signed.

It's a bidding war and nothing is a done deal yet as far as Sky Sports knows.
This was in yesterday's Washington Post..

"Adu news — The People newspaper of Britain reports that Newcastle United is at the front of a "12-team queue" to sign 14-year-old hotshot Freddy Adu of Potomac. "

If they are talking about youngest Premier League starts then I guess they are throwing out the FIFA rule book in this case.
I was under the impression that there was no way he could start in England next year.
We'll just have to wait to see what's really up.
And if there is a loan deal to MLS in the mix somehow though a loan to Locomotive Moscow may be more likely. :(

I dont think it's a good idea for Adu to start his pro career in Europe. At 14 he should atleast start his career with MLS. Then move to play anywhere in Europe when hes old enough or legally old enough to work, or when he's a regular player for the US nats.

    Well.......

If this happens, I'll never forgive MLS.
