All I know about it is that EsEs is participating and they will be playing Asil Club in some days.

Do any Saudis have more info on the tournament?

I think first we'd need to define it. "uh" can mean so many things, yet he only means one of them....

    so...

Eses is playing in the friendship tournament.

Not much of a tounament, but you'll enjoy the cool air and mountain views of Asir region. A pleasant little holiday payed for by the AlFaisals :) .

A word of warning though, while nobody else takes the tournament seriously, Ahli do. They've organised it 6 times and lost all but 1, and that embarrasses them :D .

How is EsEs properly pronounced? I assume not like it would sound in English...

EsEs is just short for Esteghlal.

You know how you say your abc's like "aay", "bee", "see". Just pronounce EsEs like 2 letter S.

    Get what I mean?

The team that is participating is Al-Ahli of KSA not the Al-Ahli of UAE that Karimi plays for.

The teams in this tournament are: Esteghlal Tehran, Asir, Al-Ahli (KSA), Syria NT, Oman U-22

Group 1 matches ended today, with Alahly getting a draw from EsEs (1:1), and syria thrashing asear region 4:1!

Alahly, and syria (coached by Irannian Jalal talebi) go through to the semi-finals.

The match between Alahly and EsEs was very dull until Ahli got there goal from own goal (a tackel turn goal bonded shot) by one of the EsEs defenders. EsEs goali saved a penalty later on. The commintator said that the goali was a subtiture, but boy was he good! he saved EsEs lots of times.

Ali samreh who just arraived a day before the match scored EsEs equlizer in overtime.

Yah, Ghasempour was the 3rd string goali. Now that Tabatabaei has left, he is 2nd string, but still he rocks. This tournament was more for Ronald Koch (former assistant coach of Bayern Leverkusen with Cristoph Daum) to get familiar with his new team, Esteghlal. A lot of the players joined the team in the middle of the tournament. Bakhtiarizadeh, the best EsEs defender joned the team half a day before they played Syria. Anyway, we have a great team in the works. Esteghlal has been spending a lot of money this preseason. More for the Asian Super League than anything else. We have a triple A coach who has been with Euro giants. I sense a great season for EsEs...

Group two qualfiers are Mortimo from portegaul, and Bahrain olimpic team.

Saudi youth team showed win over bahrain (1:0) today did not help since Bahrain have a better goal diffrence.

Ahly clup will meat Bahrain olimpic team, and martiom will play Syria omlimpic team in the semies

Al-Ahli beat bahrain 2:1 they will meet the portugal clup maritimo for the cup final.

Ahli are missing there two top strikers Al-mishal, and Obaid aldosary. They are coched by Ittihad former voodo man demitry, that coach helped ittihad to a lot of there wins in the last 4 years.

Last year Al-Ahli finished 4th behind Hillal, Ittihad, and Alnaser, but they won the gcc club tournament. Al-Ahli has about 6 to 7 players that play regurlarly forn the saudi NT.
