New MLS Fantasy Game- DC United

I just 'created' a division for the new MLSNet.com fantasy game for the 2003 MLS season. The homepage is
    http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/mls/fantasy/home_good.html

Division name is 'Black and Red'
    There is no password.

I prefer MFLS personally but I will give this game another go-round as well.

I'm in. I have no idea what the measuring stats are, or even how to evaluate the players! But what the heck, Digital DC United now has players. :D

I'm partial to the 352, so here's my team:

    -------Donovan--------Johnson----------

    ----------------Convey------------------
    Freddy Garcia-------------Dema Kovalenko
    ------Simon Elliott-----Ryan Nelsen-------

    -----Jolley------Hong--------Pope-------

    ----------------Howard------------------

We'll see how it does, but I have midfielders who can all assist and score. One big time forward who can do both (Donovan) and a sleeping giant for little cash (Johnson). My defense is solid with two world-class players and a top notch keeper.

I'm new to this whole fantasy thing, and I haven't even glanced at the scoring (so I don't even know if my team sux or not :D), but I like the ability to get Donovan, Johnson, Convey, Elliott, Hong, Pope and Howard all together. Nellie and Dema should outscore their salaries I'm guessing, and Garcia seemed like a good bargain for what I had left, heh.

Mellon, I was very tempted to take Moreno and Hartman.

I want to change my team name, any way to do that?

Also, Tron, their salaries should fluctuate based on preformance (I believe) and therefore you could make a "profit" if you sold a guy that was doing well for a cheaper one, and were able to upgrade your other positions as well.

    All part of the fun.

Ahh, I see. Didn't know that. So if I wanted to be Digital Leeds United and sell off all my good players, I could make more money and build an All-Star roster concievably, right?

Dunno about changing the team name, but if you figure it out lemme know, I may change mine as well. :D

I think that's how it works. But keep in mind, timing is everything. If your players are hot and you sell them, you can't just go and pick up hot players because their prices will be rising as well. You'd need to go and find someone cheap that is about to start doing well.

I've got a crapload of young players. Hopefully they can do something. Especially Schmidt. If he can score half as well as he has been during the preseason, I'll be money.
