Old Thread Hidetoshi Nakata (Fiorentina, Italy) Atsushi Yanagisawa (Messina, Italy) Junichi Inamoto (West Bromwich Albion, England) Shunsuke Nakamura (Celtic, Scotland) Yoshito Okubo (Mallorca, Spain) Naohiro Takahara (Hamburger SV, Germany) Shinji Ono (Feyenoord, Holland) Koji Nakata (Olympique Marseille, France) Daisuke Matsui (Le Mans, France)
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Matsui had a very strong match against Lyon. Nakamura a great debut for Celtic. Nakata started for OM and Takahara came off the bench late for Hamburg. Great to see that all the Japanese in Europe are legit and having success.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Agree what was said on the other thread about this being a big season for Takahara not only for the national team but for Hamburg aswell. He was in the starting lineup most of last season but i can't see that happening again this season. the only way i think he can truly cement his place in Germany and the NT is to get his Jubilo scoring boots on again.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Also does anyone know anything on the Yanagisawa situation. Will he be leaving Messina because they were thrown from Serie a
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] thought they got thrown out along with Torino or something
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] I know, but they complained and those bosses change there minds, but Torino were not that lucky.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/soccer/eusoccer/headlines/20050807-00000084-jij-spo.html Hirayama joined the Heracles of Eredivisie. Heracles? I thought that he went to Feyenoord.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] they were just promoted I guess. This is a shame, I wanted him to link up with Ono.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] here's the highlight clip from Nakamura's debut match for Celtic. http://community.gyo6.net/prg/bbs/data/C_bbs_club/Nakamura-good.wmv
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Hirayama has much more chance to play in Heracles than in Feyenoord. So I think it is good thing for him. Thanks. Nice clip.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Yeah I read that last night before I went to sleep. Wonder how well he would partner up with Jay Jay.
Re: Official Japanese Abroad Thread 2005-06 [R] Weird, there doesn't seem to be anything in the English language media about it.
