I'd suggest we give Cannon until the end of next week (July 23) to confirm. Its not unreasonable to expect someone to check in at least three weeks before the EPL season starts, and by the look of it we might need to start the actual drafts the following week in some leagues.
Figuring that Cannon always shows up at the same time was the general premise at the end of last season's pre-organizing.

I wouldn't exactly feel like I earned promotion by finishing 4th, nowhere close to 3rd, and about 400 points out of first. I'll do whatever you want but I'd say let Bonito stay in Sand so I can at least feel like I deserve promotion if and when I finish in top 2.
I took the promotion as 4th. Then won the league and am not in VSR - .... the difference? Had the 8th pick when I finished 4th....had the 1st pick when I finished 1st. I say take the promotion...all the leagues are the same. It's about drafting well.
A noble gesture. FWIW, The decision from prior year's is that a relegated team wouldn't be saved (for lack of a better word) by another team dropping out, so the history has been just to keep going down the list to fill empty spots as necessary. Mind you, I thought these teams had previously confirmed. It's probably much ado about nothing and we shouldn't be rushing to assume their demise.

Our precedent is relegated teams don't get un-relegated due to a vacancy from a non-returning manager. We just go down the order of the other managers and elevate the next highest season score among the other teams. We also don't double promote a team, so the extra vacancy spot goes to the highest season scoring team returning to that league from the previous season.
