Oh cool. What's he up to these days? Still playing? Getting into coaching (seniors that is, i know he owns/runs his own academy somewhere up there; or at least he use to anyways)?

Re: Salvadorans Abroad - 2010 Edition

He ended the contract at Carolina and then came back to Maryland, where he lives. He tried to get a try out with dc united but things didnt work out in the end. Ever since he has been focusing on his academy and family. He is actually looking to see if he can get something started for the kids in El Salvador. And right now he is coaching his own academy and coaching other travel teams but only at the youth level. mainly u-15.And if he gets one last opportunity he will come back and play at least one more season but so far he is enjoying what he is doing and his happy. So well see what happens. Hopefully it all works out for him

Re: Salvadorans Abroad - 2010 Edition

Yeah that'd be great if he can set something up in El Salvador. He's always been one of my favourites, not just because of how he plays/played but cause he is just so down to Earth. He's not stuck up like some other Salvadoran internationals. Be good to see him get one last shot so he can go out the right way. Granted i'd imagine he could only play for maybe a couple of seasons if that (if he was still in form) but still, it'd be good to see him play. Maybe at Marte? Or Firpo? He was close to going there a few years back but things fell through. If he couldn't come back as a player though, i wouldn't mind him coming in and coaching. Either at an academy, or even a junior national team (U15 or U17).

Anyways, here's a video of the great man himself..........

NCerritos, good to see you on this forum...it's me Pepsi...

Speaking of Ronald, it made me sick how alot of the fans treated him when he was here in MD...they would taunt him and say "Retire" and a bunch of other things...it would happen almost every game. I'm sure he didn't care, I just thought it was quite disrespectful...but eh, what can you do.

Mmm...they play different positions and besides, Cerritos did alot...I just say let Ramon be Ramon and not try to live up to being someone else.

The guy looks the same to me. At least the same as he did back in 2008 when he was in the national team. Maybe a little skinnier but that's about it.

Ncerritos, what do you have to say on the matter? :D
