How is he doing there? I remember at the U20 WC the commentators were saying that he was the 'Polish Wayne Rooney'.
We might not be in Europe, but I think Marek Hamsik(20) deserves to be on this list.
^^I've heard good things about Hamsik, but I love how the commentator goes nuts over Zalayeta's goal when it was a tap-in thanks to a goalkeeping error.
He's a 20 year old Czech and was bought by Eintracht Frankfurt this winter break (3.5 Million € from FK Teplice).
Some good names in this thread! Threads of such type made me think: what if there was a game where you can pick a player before anyone in the world trusted in him? Fantasy Scout was born. I'm posting the (really simple) rules at the bottom of this post. Some guys from rec.sport.soccer have joined, and the competition is really hard: do some BigSoccerer think that he can beat them? If so, join the game. Rules: 1. The game has started 2007 January 1. It will never end. 2. You can enter the game at any moment, just sending me e-mail to a scout (e.g. milivella @ gmail . com). You will be given the addresses of all the other scouts. 3. At any moment, you can buy a player if: - he is from Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, France, England, Netherlands or Spain, - he has not played more than 2 full A international matches (2 is OK), - nobody other bought him. To buy a player, just e-mail all the other scouts. You can't buy more than 16 players per year. 4. At any moment, you can buy one player from another scout, exchanging him for one player. The exchange will be official when both the scouts will e-mail all the others. 5. The points of a player of yours are given by the caps that he earns + the goals he scores in full A international matches after you have bought him and before you have sold him. Your points are the points of all your players, divided by the number of players you actually have now (i.e. the average points of your players, if you haven't exchanged players).
aiden mcgeady is now turning in the sort of consistent performances we've been hoping for over the last two years. he is still only 21yrs old and at times this season he's been virtually unplayable. if alan hutton, a RB, is worth £9mill then mcgeady would be well into double figures. witness his setup play for celtic's 4th goal in this clip. (he also has another assist and a goal as well)
i like bojan krkic and giovanni dos santos from barcelona. rijkard is letting them play now, and soon enough they will lead them to success along with messi.
