we are gonna need some more strikers to make up for Klose's absence. We've got one in Niemeyer, but Helmes would be a great addition to our lineup. Diego will just keep getting better and better, and with an offensive midfielder like that behind you, it can only encourage the strikers to earn their keep!

    He´s a DM or most likely as a CB , not a striker ^^
I´m looking forward to see Niemeyer playing the first time in the friendly match against Rot-Weiß- Erfurt today. :)

    Lyon Closing In On Baros

Would it be safe to say that Lyon is bringing in Baros to replace Carew?? I know both players have been linked with Bremen. However, I think it would make more sense for Baros to go to Lyon since he had his best years at Liverpool under Houllier.

I don't like Houllier much, but he sure knew how to get the best out of Baros.

Yep. That news broke last week. And ACM needs some serious goal-scoring help.

Could you imagine Klose and Kaka in the same lineup? Damn!

If you believe the news here over the past few weeks, Bremen, Leverkusen, and Stuttgart are all interested in him......

Is there an official statement in there?

Not a tabloid saying "so and so from AC Milan was quoted as telling us Klose is a target", or a reference to a quote in a tabloid.

As far as I could read, one sentence said AC Milan made the first steps in making their interest known. I did not see where it was from a tabloid.

When "kicker" makes a concrete statement like that, you can bet it's so.

Or maybe I mis-read it. My German isn't fluent, but I am pretty sure that's what it said.

well it appears that Lyon and Aston Villa did a swap-a-roo...and well Bremen appears to not have a chance with Carew or Baros. Because Baros is now with Lyon, and Carew is now with Aston Villa

Yeah but he's injured for a long time. And he is young as well. I think we need a international and experienced player currently. I don't understand why Bremen let Zidan went off to Mainz.

Could you imagine Shevchenko, Ballack and Lampard in the same line-up? Jupp, damn!! :p

You never know, but you are right, on paper it really looks great. And no offense to the Werder fans, but I would love to see it. And as we know Bremen, they will find an even better replacement. Pizarro->Ailton->Klose [I know that Pizarro and Ailton played together, but at that time Pizarro was the number 1 striker]

    Oh ok, cool.

I mean I saw the one linking gerrard to juventus and it said a guy from juventus had revealed the info to "news of the world". Dodgy.

Can anyone who is fluent in german fill me in about the Klose article then please?

You're spot on, "...wie der kicker erfuhr" that means they're not quoting any tabloids but have their own sources.
