    Nuno is playing.

He had a good chance before but took too long on the ball.

Edit-was playing. Replaced by Manduca. Wasn't following what happened.

I'm getting tired of Nuno. Miccoli is twice the player Nuno is.

Maybe this would allow Koeman to give a try to Mantorras or Manduca. Either way it seems as if Miccoli will be starting at the Nou Camp. Karogounis looks like a mean street version of Robert Deniro.

Benfica played an excellent first half. They attacked well and scored a couple of nice goals. Miccoli's goal was pure class (turn and shoot), and Karagounis was an nice strike from outside the area that took a slight deflection. Very entertaining first half. In the second half, I think Benfica showed a little fatigue and didn't play as well. In my opinion, Miccoli was the player of the game. He was very active up front and scored a great goal. Overall, a good win by Benfica.

Interesting not even one, mentioning the non PK call against the Lampioes.

I forget this is the "Lampioes Only" thread.

BTW excellent goal by the midget, the reception, and the turn was more then perfect "text book material".

I don't see you mention the penalty on Simao and that Belenenses player who was forgiven the sending off either.

Sorry, I didn't watch the second half.

Here is what "A Bola" had to say.

    Árbitro

Pedro Henriques (1). Dois lances que penalizam o Belenenses e o trabalho do árbitro: falta de Petit sobre José Pedro e braço de Manduca. Penáltis por marcar.

There is no point in talking about penalty shots when Benfica is concerned. It is a non-issue when fans ref the games.

I agree. It's just like the fan of Naval referee in the Benfica v Naval game, or the fan of Guimaraes referee in the Benfica v V.Guimaraes game. When we complained about not getting those two calls that screwed Benfica over, everyone came here saying it happens and it goes both ways. So you're completely right, it is a non-issue because Benfica has been on both ends of bad calls this season.

What's that saying the internet kids say? pnwed?

Welcome back shrek. You make valid points in your game analysis. I saw it there somewhere in there between your trolling on non-calls in favor of Benfica and midgets.

Didn't see the first half. Only saw the second half and they looked pretty bad just trying to hold onto the lead. It wasn't even ball possesion either. It was just booting the ball out and trying to hold on for the win. I hope they have a better effort on Wednesday.
