Who doesn't love Huth? I think he's twice the player of Merte. ;)

What was this issue with Mertesucker?

I cannot remember a national team game where he was specifically at fault for a goal against.

Huth would have felled Grosso in the box in 06. And Italy would have missed their penalty and then we would have won on penalties.

Merte wouldn't have the balls to do that.

I've just made a check-up of all players without much match practise last season (injury or the substitution role in their clubs) ... and really get worried!

This competition will be some kind of "Wundertüte" in my eyes, since all is possible with this team (from another early drop-out in the group stages to a tournament win). To be honest, I wouldn't consider us to be the top favourite together with Italy (although a part of the media is doing that)...

Btw: When are we going to open the match thread for the Poland game?

And what, not give secrets to the opposition? or being able talk about them freely behind their back which would be trolling on any other board? :D

Can't discuss details over there? :)

How about after tomorrow?, that way we can start closing some of those pre-tournament threads and get down to business. And I can ban a few people before hand. :D

Good idea, we seem to be having the same discussions in five threads, I for one have certainly become repetitive.

The head of this chicken is burnt, while the bottom parts need more cooking. Somebody forgot it on the BBQ clearly. Also, what scared it so much that it went hands up and tongue out? Nah, not a good logo for me.

LOL...then a simple flag for you or something else? Merkel in a jersey perhaps? :D

Or should we put a mullett on the Eagle?
