I can only get BBC Radio Leicester. The commentators - basically Leicester homers - have been really critical of Fulham's center-half partnership. The color man mostly faults Christanval, saying he doesn't look like a Premiership center-half tonight, and the play-by-play guy says a foul by Boca just now is the first thing he's done all night. Take that stuff with a grain of salt, of course. (Meanwhile, the commentators do like how Queudrue has played, particularly in aiding the offense.) (Edit: to answer an earlier question, I'm getting the Leicester feed through my Fulham TV membership. As far as I know, there is no free audio for this match: http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/Messageboard.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=6959 )
As little as I've seen the two play together, Boca and Christanval just do not mesh. Not going to blame either side more than the other...
Wasn't Christanval the one who whiffed on the ball after taking Boca out of the play last game, which resulted in Benayoun's first goal? Yeah, I don't rate him much. Every time I've seen him, he doesn't seem comfortable at all.
The colour guy is Gerry Taggart who was a decent centre back. The guy doing the commentary is a moron anyway. Derby fan. Sounds like both centre back pairings are having poor games. Should be more goals in this game.
Kinda looks like Fulham are peppering the LC goal - 11 shots in the second half. From EuroSport: 72' This game has settled down slightly but there is no doubt Fulham are on top. Leicester clinging on and hoping for extra time here.
Looks like we're heading for free football. Another 30 minutes. It's become a matter of survival now.
4-3 Fulham. routledge. Leicesters defence stops for a flag but the ref waves play on. Correct decision(waving play on) according to Radio Leicester. Game over.
90' GOAL! Fulham, what a comeback! Wayne Routledge skips past two players, races into the box and slots past the advancing Paul Henderson. Incredible! This is what EuroSport had to say. COYW!!!
He is Dempsey's primary competition for playing time, no? I believe this was his first goal for the club too.
Tough result PC... but you can't have a problem with the fight that Leicester showed in this matchup, despite how things have gone in the Championship for them thus far.
He wasn't injured. From Coleman's postmatch interview (after being asked about the team's recent run of draws in the league): Interview linked here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/fa_cup/6258849.stm
There are grumblings on Fulham boards that show a discontent for all of Boca's mistakes that he's been making lately. Regardless of the couple goals he scored, he's there to defend and is making big mistakes back there.
Thanks for the link! Imagine the reaction on BigSoccer if Dempsey pulled off (the entire play) what Routledge did today.
Nevermind that... what would Gentleman Jim have said, if he had been calling the game? Still can't find any news on McBride's injury, but I'll keep looking...
Oh, nuts. Anyway, from the manner in which Coleman defended the move to take Macca off at the break, it was definitely a blessing in disguise. He had to give Montella some minutes, and as it turned out and as some of us have said here, it looks like McBride's got a strike partner now, in a real, traditional 4-4-2.
