The team from Philadelphia is expected to be Junior Lone Star FC. We are still working on being fully accepted into the League, which hopefully could be at the NPSL AGM. Sponsorship info and other information can be found on the club's website at www.juniorlonestarfc.com

Scratch Chicago Inferno from that list. Were going to be in NPSL but now are in USL PDL.

AFC Cleveland will open their team store on January 21st. I think it'll be good for them.

Not the first team to make this jump, but can't say I'm happy about this one if it happens. FCNY has been a pretty disorganized group since day 1.

the only thing that I can say, are they really any worse off than the Cosmos from day one?

Am in touch with both groups. Met with Monsoon people last night. Will try to get solid info about their plans from each party.

They (Monsoon) were at the NPSL meetings at the NSCAA. They say they will see how it goes.

Yes, I'm aware they were in KC.
One issue as I see it is travel. All opponents will be in SoCal, a 6 hour drive. That's 7(14 game schedule) overnight road trips while SoCal teams will have only 1 each.
And no, I don't see the Monsoon traveling 6 hours, playing, and traveling back in one go.

I know the SoCal teams did at least one up and back to the Bay Area last season where they drove up, played, and then drove back overnight. That's more than 6 hours. But I guess that doesn't mean the Monsoon would want to do it, especially if they had to do it 7 times. They could pair the games up one Saturday, one Sunday to cut down on the number of trips. I think some Bay Area teams did that last season for SoCal trips.

    2 AFC Cleveland notes

First, the team opened its shop in Parma yesterday and it looks like it went pretty well. There are pictures from the opening on the team's facebook. The team had practice jerseys, track suits and t-shirts for sale.

Second, the team has a 2nd tryout coming up on March 24th at a park in Parma.

Any updates? Seems like a lot of these teams never made it.

IMO Fort Smith is the wrong place to place a soccer team. The NWA region is only 45 minutes away, has triple the population of Hispanics. Not to mention more money.

They announced that they dropped down. They'll be in NPSL for the next year. Whether they survive after that is anyone's guess...
