Something else: The Dutch star suffered a knee injury in Bayern's German Cup third round 2-0 win at Augsburg, the club said. Robben, 29, was stretchered off after colliding with Augsburg goalkeeper Marwin Hitz. "Robben has a deep cut down to the knee joint," said Bayern team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt.
How about just the last three sentences? "Green could still play for the USA; he recently turned down JK, who invited him to 2 A-level international games and, on the phone, painted the most beautiful perspectives for him, including a possible participation in the World Cup. But Green will, for the time being, continue to play for the German U19 team and trust that his intuition is not deceiving him. His intuition says to him that he could at some point become an A-Team national player in Germany."
That's the voodoo doctor that Kobe and others have gone to visit. Always been a fan of this one, a current player for Augsburg Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker
That name isn't really typically German, though - at least outside of Southern Jutland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Jutland
Without being an expert - Wolfhart and Wohlfahrt are probably unrelated names. The former is Old High German and means "bold like a wolf", the latter means "Welfare".
Green didn't make Bayern's 23-man roster for the Club World Cup, but with Robben's injury there's a chance he'll end up on the flight to Morocco. Teams are allowed to switch out injured players up to 24 hours prior to the first match. http://www.fifadata.com/document/FCWC/2013/pdf/FCWC_2013_SquadLists.pdf http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tou.../16/81/19/fcwc2013_regulations_en_neutral.pdf
I don't think he is going to make a move. I think for us to get any new recruits we need to have an excellent WC. If we tie Germany I think our Germericans may look at us with more respect
http://www.womensoccer.de/2013/12/11/amber-brooks-verlaesst-bayern-muenchen/ Caitlin Murray @wosocait57m Bayern Munich manager says Amber Brooks will play in the U.S. next year due to pressure from U.S. Soccer: http://www.womensoccer.de/2013/12/11/amber-brooks-verlaesst-bayern-muenchen/… #NWSL Kind of a comparable situation to Green, well sort of, not really but I thought it was semi relevant.
Looks like Julian Green will be replacing Arjen Robben at the Club World Cup: http://www.sport.de/medien/fussball...news-ticker-am-mittwoch-11-dezember-2013.html (In German)
http://www.fifadata.com/document/FCWC/2013/pdf/FCWC_2013_SquadLists.pdf http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/statisticsandrecords/players/player=369094/index.html Hey, just sayin'. EDIT: this is probably how it shows up in the FIFA database because USSF registered him for the U20WC 35-man provisional roster. http://m.ussoccer.com/news/u-20-mnt/2013/06/ramos-notes-significance-of-fifa-provisional-roster.aspx
