All Rocks League 2013/14

Everyone in our drafted leagues needs to enter the All Rocks League; used to collect weekly scores for internal competitions. Code to join All Rocks League 2013/14: 188572-52342

 

I'll keep an eye on our four Leagues and match team names with those in All Rocks.

When I get home to play my wildcard, on August 18th, I'll lock the league and boot non-draftees.

 

I had an idea for a new All Rocks Super League competition but forgot just how much work is involved and how much more entertaining it is to read the Hairy Chest Medalion updates.

The last All Rocks Super League was maybe a little too complicated for some, so I thought about dumbing it down to create an All Rocks Draft Dodgers competition instead.

The Premise

First Phase - 8 Groups of Four; according to draft position.
Group S - SR 1, VSR 1, Sand 1, Dust 1
Group P - SR 2, VSR 2, Sand 2, Dust 2
Group O - SR 3, VSR 3, Sand 3, Dust 3
Group R - SR 4, VSR 4, Sand 4, Dust 4
Group T - SR 5, VSR 5, Sand 5, Dust 5
Group I - SR 6, VSR 6, Sand 6, Dust 6
Group N - SR 7, VSR 7, Sand 7, Dust 7
Group G - SR 8, VSR 8, Sand 8, Dust 8

To be played from Gameweek 1 to Gameweek 12.

Each week, the team in each group with the highest score is awarded 3 points (win). Teams tied for top score receive 1 point each (draw).

If there's a tie at the end of the phase, the team highest in our All Rocks League gets the nudge.

Second Phase - 4 Groups of Four (same scoring and tie-breaker)
Group C - 1S; 2I; 1N; 2G.
Group L - 1P; 2O; 1R, 2T.
Group U - 2S; 1I; 2N; 1G.
Group B - 2P; 1O; 2R, 1T.

To be played from Gameweek 13 to Gameweek 24.

Find The Finalists - 2 Groups of Four (same scoring and tie-breaker)
Group D - 1C; 1L; 2U; 2B.
Group E - 2C; 2L; 1U; 1B.

To be played from Gameweek 25 to Gameweek 36.

Semi-Finals - Gameweek 37
(Tiebreak - All Rocks Position after Gameweek 12)
D1 vs E2
E1 vs D2

Gameweek 38 - The All Rocks Draft Dodgers Final
(Tiebreak - All Rocks Position after Gameweek 24)

If it will still be a great idea come Easter, remains to be seen.

 

I was thinking to just have it on Big Soccer, then I can (hopefully) update it easier when I'm on the road. Granted, group tables do look better on the site, with a little jazzy HTML.

 

16 have signed up so far; five from Small Rocks, five from Very Small Rocks, five from Sand, and only one from Dust.

Of the teams signed up for their draft leagues but not registered in the All Rocks League, we're currently missing FC Touchline Ban (Small Rocks), Pittsadelphia (Very Small Rocks), Yellowcake Phantoms (Dust), SSC Snoopy (Dust) and Ben Giveth & Benteke (also in Dust).

Since my last post, Keysersoze Wanderers (Dust) has registered in both leagues.
