- The world-famous Bouncing Stands - One of the best "features" of RFK is the lower east seating section. Also home to La Barra Brava and Screaming Eagles, this section of seating is very flexible under the weight of thousands of jumping fans. Laid-back spectators looking to relax in their (unbroken) seats might want to avoid this section.
- RFK is also the home of Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals during the 2005, 06, and 07 seasons. DC United will once again be the sole tenant when the Nationals move to their new stadium in 2008. RFK's accomodation of MLB was not exacty welcomed by United faithful. The constant changes between baseball diamond and soccer pitch led to an uneven surface and a 3-year hiatus from hosting international matches (i.e. World Cup qualifiers). The entire lower section of seating behind the North goal was removed to allow for baseball's outfield. The supporters group La Norte was forced to move and thus had a difficult time throwing toilet paper and insults at opposing keepers. Mat Reiss was relieved.
- RFK Stadium will host its third MLS Cup in 2007.
