#1 top selling jersey, not surprised. Told my brother while we were at the first Classico that I'd buy his jersey if he came in that game and won it. Wonder how many people had that in mind.
So, has a Galaxy player ever won Goal of the Year before? Zlatan is getting that one. Not sure about the others, although a deep playoff run would help him...
I must admit, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. Are you suggesting our approach for the future should be to look for another washed-up damaged-goods ex-Euro star brought in solely to sell jerseys, and hope he defies all odds and carry the team on his back to almost make the playoffs? Because for one, that's not really what Zlatan was, and second, I'd just as soon go for more of a youth movement with solid talent closer to their prime.
Thanks for translating, then! Seemed like somewhat of a roundabout way of saying it. From my observation of the whole season on balance, I would agree, and no doubt Zlatan is an amazing attacking player, and I would look forward having him back just to see the beautiful goals. However, my concern and overall impression is that, through lack of movement or fitness, he often did not play as an all out striker, and played next to no defense. Which often left us short-manned on both offense and the midfield, with other players having to try to compensate. I think about how many times Boateng was the only forward in the box trying to get on the end of a cross, because Kamara was covering on defense and Zlatan was just floating around the offensive midfield. Boateng was asked to cover an amazing amount of ground during a game. So, Zlatan is awesome scoring threat to have in moments, but also left us a bit vulnerable defensively. Anyway, that is just a 10,000 ft level thought. Maybe his offensive ability is worth it, but don't I think he is the ideal forward, even for the lowly LA Galaxy. This is why I don't think he would ever be a starter again in Europe, but a good sub option.

I appreciate the info but after that rag named and shamed the wrong people over the Gatwick 'drone' incident, f*** giving clicks to the Daily Mail.
I appreciate that Zlatan stuck with us. He could have easily bailed. Here's to a spectacular 2019 season, hopefully worth the $7 million.
Zlatan vs. Ronaldo. I used to make this argument myself: 'Why did he not choose a club from a second division a few years ago?': Zlatan Ibrahimovic dismisses Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus and says it is 'not a challenge at all' Juventus has won the last 8 I think Seria A titles? Actually much less competitive than La Liga, where he's only won 2 titles with Madrid. Of course, he's going there to see if he can lead them to CL victory finally.
I've also always wanted to see that. Have a superstar join a team either at the bottom of the table or in the 2nd division and see how far he can push/carry that team. I always thought Ronaldo would be the prime candidate to do that as well. Ultimately it comes down to money and those teams aren't going to pay the wages the superstars will demand.
Laker tickets have always been extremely pricy. But the higher priced to tickets almost exclusively went to either corporations or others who could subsidize their purchase through the tax code. As an example, the company I used to work for had several blocks of 4 tickets that they gave out to employees, and others that probably never made it past ownership. Ditto an independent consultant, I worked with. He had season tickets to the Lakers, Galaxy and Angels. He claimed he and his wife (who owned a small business services company), wrote all of these off as business expenses.
