I came, I saw, I conquered. Thank you @lagalaxy for making me feel alive again. To the Galaxy fans - you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues...Now go back to watch baseball pic.twitter.com/kkL6B6dJBr— Zlatan Ibrahimović (@Ibra_official) November 13, 2019 Loved his style, his embrace of the heel role.
A nice compilation of calls on his debut goal. I wonder if another player would have garnered as much interest.
The only team he played against multiple times and didn't score on is the Rapids. (He also never beat them). He played against ATL and NYCFC once each and never scored on them. He scored against every other MLS team he played at least once.
I'm going to miss MLS refs letting him repeatedly climb on top of defenders without being called for fouls.
As a Quakes fan, I'm happy to see him go. As a fan of the Serie A, I'm hoping to see him make a difference with a significant club. they are saying either Bologna or Napoli. that would be cool!
In 5 games Ibra played against the Earthquakes, (1 preseason) he socred once. Florian Jungwirth marked him out of the game the last time the Galaxy faced the Quakes.
With the amount of times I see MLS defenders pushing down on offensive players when clearing balls in the air, I'm going to give that a wash.
Anyway, whatever you think, still impressive that in under 2 seasons a player in his late 30s is ranked number 60 all time in scoring in MLS. He has a 0.98 goals per game average and it looks like Josef may be the only one ahead of him at 0.99. Carlos Vela's rate is 0.85. P.S. If you want a trip down memory lane, scroll through the all-time scoring list.
While not an MLS moment... This is my favorite Zlatan moment.. go to 1:11 for one of the greatest replays of all time.
