Dont' they sort of have to decide by Monday (today)... the transfer window closes today so if they don't sign him today... they aren't going to.
Correct, buy S'land sad they would make adecision on him by Mon the latest. Could be they have another target that they would have to sign today if they weren't thrilled w KZ or the passport situation had no end in sight.
I thought that was just for players out of contract at the start of the season for the league they are transfering/signing into (in this case, August)
Too bad. So Kerry will definitely be in the national team camp, probably in the final 18 for Trinidad?
I wouldn't say that, if he can find another club with interest I'd imagine he'd go on another trial, it will largely depend on his options, although if Sunderland passed on him because they felt he wasn't of a sufficient quality to help their side (I don't honestly know, could have been money or WP issues) his choices might be reduced a fair amount.
well, if they wanted him right away (which is how it has sounded to me)... him not having his euro card would have really hurt that and how it's been worded for no contract offer doesn't tell me which was the problem (play or lack of euro card)... i hope he gets another look somewhere else in europe... he's a quality d/holding mid and i think he can help a lot of sides out... plus he deserves a big pay day
Agreed. Kerry is a true US Soccer feel good story. He's also from my neighboring hometown and therefore I'm really surprised Man U and Arsenal aren't bidding for his services! Hope Kerry is able to cash in somewhere in Europe.
