I would save Fede for the week end but with Casimero not in the line up he’ll start for sure, plus he was rested during the week end I just hope that this doesn’t mean that Zidane is crazy enough to not start him against Atleti.

 

Militao isn’t called up, don’t know why. And I think we’ll see LV in the starting 11.

 

Yea that’s Bizarre because Varane and Ramos surely will start in the derby, hope it’s not an injury.

I think Modric might not play this game but who knows,
James and Valverde very likely as they didn't play on the weekend.
Brahim makes sense as he is keen to impress

 

One of Modric or Kroos will start for sure because we always have at least 3 midfielders in there.

 

My bet is on Valverde, Modrić and James. As for upfront, i am certain Lucas starts.

 

Hoping for some significant rotations here — don’t think we should take the Copa TOO seriously.

 

Getting the result without jeopardizing the derby is going to be crucial. Whoever starts needs to put in good performances and close this game out. Plus no more injuries.

Lucas so he doesn't come off the bench. Kroos, Benzema and Rodrygo as subs.
League is far more important and if this side with those 3 subs isn't enough then so be it. The derby is coming up and so is UCL. An injury to Mendy, Valverde or Case could cost us. The others can be replaced but those 3 can't.

 

I want to see Areola - Marcelo - Varane - Nacho - Carvajal - Valverde - Modric - James - Vinicius - Jovic - Brahim. Rodrygo and Benzema to come on in the second half to get some playing time.

 

I think we should take the copa very seriously and try to win it, I can’t think of a single reason why a club like ours shouldn’t try to win everything,

On another note, I think both James and LV will start although I don’t particularly like James as a CM

All teams from the lower leagues automatically get the home advantage. If two teams from LaLiga meet then they do a draw

 

James should play up front or in a 442 behind the striker so we can properly compare him to Isco’s performance who has mostly played in a free role.

 

Looks good but I would have rather see Brahim over LV and James closer to goal.

 

Brahim for Lucas and that's a perfect lineup for Copa IMO.
