Unless an MLS club shelled out DP money for him, it would probably be 200k - 300k while a club like Leicester would offer 400k - 700k. Most MLS clubs could dish that out. It would just mean it'd be a DP contract.

Leicester would be a fine option. They have to live up to their promotion contending pedigree soon enough

According to ever reliable Mr. Seltzer, Zak Is now a Leicester City player agreeing to a 2-yr deal with a club option for a 3rd year. I didn't think it would take long for Whitbread to find a new home. Just a quick glance at their roster it looks like Zak have a great chance to be in that starting XI.

Leicester have been (unsuccessfully) chucking silly money at trying to get promoted. I'd guess he would be on up to mid-five figures and so could feasibly be on over $1m per year.

He is probably coming in as a back up. Wes Morgan was just made captain and Sean St Ledger played really well in the second half of last season. Though St Ledger did have a fall out with NFP about his playing time. Also planning to sign another centre back as well.

Checking out a Leicester forum, they seem happy enough with the idea of Whitbread becoming a starter.

The injury problems are being discussed, but the bigger worry seems to be Whitbread's issues behind the wheel of his automobiles.

As long as Whitbread stays fit he will probably start the season now. St Ledger has knack and is out for 6-8 weeks. His other competition is a 19 year old or a converted right back

The Foxes eat their Whitbread with the injured side down.
