On FIRE! 4 goals today for Hoff's U19 team 6 goals in 3 games to start the loan Expect promotion to Hoff's U23 team soon
Russell canouse had a goal and 3 assists in this as well. Some yanks doing well in hoffenhiem youth.......pfeffer,toljan,albelo,canouse.
He had 4 goals and 2 assists according to his Twitter. That's hard to do in 90 minutes, regardless of the division of the opponent.
Hoffenheim won 11-0. It's sure nice for him that he scored and all, but it isn't all that different from scoring in practice.
All nice stuff, really couldn't be better at this point but let's wait for the league play before we're penciling him into the next level.
Well, it was always Hoffenheim's plan to move him to the U23 team quickly. I'd say Pfeffer has not done anything to change those plans
Its alot different from scoring in practice. It would be much easier to score vs an inferior opponent you beat 11-0 than in an intrasquad scrimmage vs teammates at closer to your level of skill.
Him in the middle: From an interview w/him & Russell Canouse: http://americansoccernow.com/articles/young-american-duo-holding-it-down-in-hoffenheim
Zach started and was subbed in the 73rd minute in Hoffenheim U19's 2-1 victory over Bayern on Sunday. Canouse also started for Hoffenheim and Julian Green for Bayern.
Zach and I both started again We won 4:1 to continue the 7 game winning streak We are second place with one point back on Bayern!!!— Russell Canouse (@RussellCanouse) February 17, 2013
This is great. The A-Junioren Bundesliga South is very competitive. I don't think Hoffenheim has ever placed higher than 5th or 6th. Hoffenheim also has the third highest goal difference (28) in the A-Junioren Bundesligas after Wolfsburg (40) and Schalke (40). It would be awesome if they make the playoffs.
It was. says in the match report that he barely missed two other goals, it is not clear how on the first one and then a 20 meter shot was saved by the goalie. http://www.achtzehn99.de/spitzenreiter-u19-bezwingt-freiburg-mit-3-0/ Is that him facing forward on the left side of the picture?
And one more goal, this one the game winner in a DFB Pokal match: Zach Pfeifer scored the lone goal in the german pokal cup today @ZachPfeffer_27 #hoffenheim #doop— brian (@danebsk) April 24, 2013
Hoffenheim aren't even in the German cup this season - he probably played in the state cup. Edit: yeah, it was in the state cup. However, the official match report doesn't credit Pfeffer with the goal (it's Canouse instead).
I made an erroneous assumption. He called it the "Pokal Cup" in his tweet (which only appears sporadically here) which I believe is redundant...
