In honor of the impending presidential election, I thought we could use a themed youtube thread. Protest songs of any flavor. I'll start with one the best of the 60s era - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - Ohio Comprised of a montage of pictures from the infamous shooting of four college students at an anti-war protest at Kent State College, this youtube post makes quite an impact.
Beatles - Taxman {note from Ismitje - can't find a YouTube version with the audio available}
Pete Seeger - Waist Deep in the Big Muddy {note from Ismitje - this version has several others in a medley on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour}
Where Have All the Flowers Gone This version is Mary Travers, with the Kingston Trio. This is a many times recorded, Pete Seeger song, with available versions both by Peter Paul and Mary and the Kingston Trio.
