Source: Manchester City leaning towards letting EPB join PSV on loan for rest of 2017 after a few weeks training with ManCity 1st team.— MLS Transfers (@MLSTransfers) November 5, 2017
What does this even mean lol. How is he going to join in 2017, and when did he start training with Man City...
As long as folks take it for what it is...............gossip................then we're fine. It kinda makes sense, though. Anyway. Why Weston McKennie matters so much for Schalke 04 https://t.co/mTAfHTOaLv pic.twitter.com/oyFl7JRh8g— Bundesliga FANatic (@Bundesliga4u) November 5, 2017
I think this attack could go all the way in '22 Gonzalez---McKennie --------Pulisic--------- Weah----------Konrad -----------Sargent------
I don't mean to be blunt, but the average age of that team in 2022 will be 22ish? Considering we don't even have the talent to compete with a standard quarterfinal setup, there's no way in hell having our front 6 being that young will result in anything more than a couple of exciting games.
Every goal. but one. scored by Germany in 2014 was scored by a player under 25, Having an average age of 22 doesn't seem like a problem outside of Bruce Arena's mind.
A) I will repeat that we don't have near the quality of player to win a world cup regardless, but you conveniently left that out of your post. Pulisic now is pretty identical to what Gotze was viewed as for Dortmund. Aside from that, I don't see us having an entire front six of Madrid/Bayern players. B) 22 /= 25, so I don't know how that argument helps you, besides acting as a strawman. C) By only saying goalscorers, you again changed your argument, because you said front 6. I've listed every player who started a game in their front 6, which their age and number of starts next to their name. Thomas Muller (24)(7) Miroslav Klose (36)(3) Mario Gotze (22)(3) Mesut Ozil (25)(7) Lukas Podolski (29)(1) Sami Khedira (27)(4) Toni Kroos (24)(7) Bastian Schweinstager (29)(5) Philipp Lahm (31)(4) Christoph Kramer (23)(1) Their average age, weighted by their starts, is 26.5. But yeah, our group of 22 year olds should do the trick. Why couldn't you just have said 2026?
You all will like this. Akinola is on trial at PSV and just scored in an U19 match. https://www.ed.nl/psv/psv-heeft-amerikaans-jeugdinternational-ayo-akinola-17-op-stage~a8c992bd/
Thats good news, he turns 18 in January, so if he got a contract with PSV, he could sign in the winter window.
Yeah, Akinola has some raw talent but his soccer IQ is pretty poor and it didn't look like he was learning much at TFC. He'd get a real tactical education at PSV.
It would be a great move. We've talked, though, about the difficulty of American youngsters going to Holland............................ There are no foreign player restrictions, but there's a high minimum wage that must be paid. That was set up to discourage clubs from signing players just like Akinola. So PSV (or another Dutch club) would have to think very highly of Ayo in order to bring him in. It would be great if PSV does.....................................
I think they would also have to pay TFC as well, which would make him unique among Youth Nats moving abroad from an MLS academy.
Zyen Jones posted a Snapchat story showing that he's in Gelsenkirchen.. another Weston McKennie type move on our hands?
