One thing I liked about Reyna was he's bigger than most of our mids/wingers. With he and combinations of Sargent, Weah, Soto, Pepi etc the US is adding size to the team.

Freeman is also very similar to Reyna.

That was a hell of a goal from Gio Reyna. Wow!

Brandan Craig is currently in Manchester, Rotundo is currently in Hertfordshire, Justin Che is currently in Bremen after being spotted in Stuttgart and near Hoffenheim. Confirmed by USA Prospects that Rotundo has been training with Arsenal and Che has been training with VfB Stuttgart and Hoffenheim.

Unknown at this time. He does have access to an English passport.

I really wish our prospects would stop going to "big" teams. Evan Rotundo seems incredibly skilled, but his pathway to senior team minutes with Arsenal is incredibly hard compared to a lot of other teams.

I don't think he's signed or anything, so maybe this is just training. But we've had so many players buried...

Dossmann is now listed on a youth roster at Mainz, so that move is evidently official.

That is twice that my Forza app didn’t even list Gio on the squad, much less credit him with an assist. Can anyone suggest a better app? I’m not a big fan of SofaScore but I may have to give it another try.

I use FotMob but it didn't have lineups or credit anyone with an assist for that friendly, either.

Are we sure he's eager to play for the US?

I think his preferences would be Argentina, US, Croatia. His calculus will depend on how likely he sees his chances of making the Argentina Senior team vs ours. It can’t hurt to dangle something like the Olympics in front of him.

I’m not saying this should be expected of him because he might not want to play for the USA, but when I see a dual-nat doesn’t speak English, I consider it highly unlikely that they’ll ever play for the USA.

I suspect there are many players on that Argentine U18 team that don’t speak English, so it’s not a criticism of the kid, but if you considered the USA an option and the US-link wasn’t a flimsy one, you would probably have grown up with the language, even if it was secondary to another language.

I wasn’t aware he didn’t habla. @bshredder said in Matko’s thread a while back that he was learning English.
FWIW, he has said in interviews he will go with the first full national team that calls him up. But you gotta think he would much rather it be Argentina.

When they can’t speak it, do they say anything other than they’re learning English? I think not doing the interview in English or using a translator says it all.

You might be right. I have no idea concerning Miljevic specifically. But the interview preference doesn’t really say much. I know guys like Aguero speak English but much prefer to be interviewed in their native language. In my experience, a Latin American kid with parents who decide to move to Miami to ride out an economic crisis probabaly got some schooling in English some where along the way.
On the other hand, I’ve also observed that a rich Argentino is less likely to care about speaking English than a rich Latino from practically anywhere else.
