Olympique Lyonnais, despite getting through the last 4 CL group stages, remains, if not underrated, a largely unknown club, so there are two ways of looking at it: the players most over and underrated by those who follow the club, and the same for those who only get a sky satellite view of the team. locally: most overrated: tiago most underrated: réveillère tiago is a good player but not irreplaceable. RVR is seen as outclassed by clerc but he's a crafty devil and gets a lot done in a quiet way. globally: most overrated: abidal most underrated: squillaci abidal is considered one of the top left backs in the world, but he's looked pretty ordinary for us this year. contrarywise, for those who are asking "squillaci who?", he's been even better than cris (also underrated outside lyon) this year and together they form one of the best tandems in europe.
True that, he's been attracting attention as of late. I've always found Tiago overrated. Also Paulo Ferreira and Abidal. But it's really amazing how Torres is so highly rated when he's still relatively unproven.
