yep, agree with Matias, that way you can have Ayala in that all important central defensive position, with the more predominantly right and left sided Gonzalo and Heinze on both sides.

Frankly speaking gonazalos performace is really gr8, but pekerman has not called him since the confedcup, i think he is our best defender at the moment, hope pekerman picks him forthe worldcup

Ok it's been awhile since I've been here on this website but here is my starting 11,

    --------------------------Franco--------------------

    Zanetti--------G.Rodriguez--------Ayala--------Heinze

    ---------------Mascherano-----------Sorin----------

    ---------------------------Riquelme-------------------

    -----------------Messi--------------Tevez------------

    ---------------------------Crespo---------------------

I too have come to the conclusion Franco is probably the best bet in goal. Gonzalo Rodriguez has been sensational for Villarreal this season but I still have my doubts if he'll be selected. But no way should Ayala and Samuel play together. They need a quicker centerback to play alongside them. Gonzalo is that player. But will Pekerman see that?

    ----------franco-----------
    -----milito-ayala-heinze----
    zanetti----------------sorin
    ---------mascherano-------
    ---messi-----riquelme-------
    ------crespo----tevez------

system: 5-3-2. i think this formation is better. it gives more cover for sorin with heinze there and lets ayala be more or less a sweeper which i think puts his abilities to better use.

if at anytime argentina wants to switch to 4-5-1 just sub out sorin for a defensive/centre mid.
