They're in the Europa League, yeah? They did have a busy silly season... Pepe, Ceballos, Tierny, Luiz, Martinelli and Saliba to join next year...upgrades over Mustafi and Iwobi...second year under Emery...
they've done nothing to improve their crap defence (screw Sideshow Bob) and with these signings, now have too many forwards / attackers. team is lopsided. other "Big 6" teams .... Manure look very disorganized, with I think 7 CBs, no holding MFer worth mentioning, and still dependent on Sanchez to stop being a prima donna and actually do something. Chelsea are pinning a lot of hope on Pulisic. without Hazard though I can't see any real treat from them. I think Spurs have done the best this time around. Sessegnon and lo Celso look like good additions .... although they've lost both of last year's starting FBs and it looks like Eriksen will be moving out (to Spain?). he would be a big loss and he'd get very few (if any) minutes this season if he stays given his noises about wanting out.
I don't mind that so much, anymore. I have come to recognise that players are ambitious and, post Suarez's sale, we spectacularly went backwards. Also, he did not have a good relationship with Rodgers. We got a good fee for him.
A diabolical Palace is making Everton look like, well, Liverpool. So deep set and hardly getting out of its half, this is a typical Hodgson formation.
A heated debate about market stalls was disrupted by a foul smell and furious finger-pointing at a Kenyan regional assembly on Wednesday, local reports say. "Honourable Speaker, one of us has polluted the air and I know who it is," Julius Gaya reportedly told Homa Bay county assembly. But the member he accused of farting is said to have replied: "I am not the one. I cannot do such a thing in front of my colleagues." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-49290641
HALF TIME: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Aston Villa Spurs have had the lion’s share of possession, but so blunt up front. Villa could easily have scored three or four. They’ve been blistering on the counter. This is poised deliciously. It’s been good fun, this. “Spurs are flashy on the approach but can’t convert,” argues Mary Waltz. “Villa have had multiple chances to double their lead and if Spurs don’t tighten up their back line a massive upset is coming down the road.”
Villa with an absolute collapse in the last 15 mins giving up 3 goals to lose. And worse - 2 to Sir Harry of Claim.
