Clearly interjecting politics into threads where they don't belong means I'm a white nationalist! Of course if they were politics that you agreed with I'm sure you'd make a much more charitable interpretation.

Also, I remember when you tried to make a grand point about my Dortmund bombing posts, but then failed to find a single post not completely defensible. You still are made about that.

No, you said it, but you can't defend it.

    Now, back to Kik.

So I’m betting all democrats were secret white nationalists in the 90s when they supported Clinton immigration policies essentially the same as my own today?

the only person here who has revealed himself as someone distasteful is you friendo.

You really are going to do anything you can to take this thread into politics.

Daca and the Dream Act have nothing at all to do with citizenship, playing soccer for the USMNT or Kik.

Are you really still unable to understand that? I don't doubt you are.

Is that the same Rodion Camataru who equalised for Romania at Wembley in 1985? (England led 1-0, Hoddle I believe.)

Romania weren't great in 1985-8, but they bloody were in 1990, I loved that team. (And I loved their yellow jerseys, though they wore red in their great performance v the USSR.)

  13. Oh, no. She had so much fun doing it, she now wants to make a run across the Feyenoord Stadium pitch.
If she chooses the Feyenoord-Heerenveen match it will be x-rated in the USA;)

Surprisingly (based on the media report I saw) he started at LB again. There had been a suggestion they would try him at CD again.

The tractor boys win. 'veen off to to a terrible first few months.

  16. That coach is an idiot. I wonder if he survives the winter break.
He put Rodney Kongolo (on loan from ManCity) in the CD spot. He was terrible so he swapped him with Kik, but the damage already had been done.
Actually the idiot shuffled the whole defense after the break.
I get the feeling he has no clue what he's doing.

  17. And we did kick the shit out of France. They have to thank their goalkie that it didnot end in a blistering defeat. He saved a record 9 shots on goal. The most ever by a French goalie in a nat. team match.

And some of those were not routine at all. That was a pretty solid beatdown.

But he isn’t really an American at all, and certainly not football wise, I hope he doesn’t choose to play for the USA until the Dutch national team don’t plan to pick him at any level.

Someone born in the Netherlands to two American parents would not have NED citizenship.

What difference does that make? An adult who was born outside of the Netherlands to Dutch parents could reclaim their Dutch citizenship up until some time in the 90s (or perhaps later) without ever setting foot in the Netherlands, even if they were over 18. Someone born in Jamaica with an English grandfather could not get Dutch citizenship either, but they could get a UK passport. A Jewish family from Berlin who moved to South Africa to escape death camps could not get Dutch citizenship, but could reclaim their German passport under certain circumstances.

I will say it again: Citizenship is a legal issue. End stop. If Kik does what is legally required to maintain his US passport it matters not a whit what the quirks of Dutch citizenship are. He should play where is makes the most sense for him. Right now he is in the Orange mix in a big way. I doubt he opts out for the US. But if he would be eligible for Dutch citizenship if his situation of birth was difference doesn't matter a whit.

It seems more and more dutch articles are mentioning his American passport... maybe he's going to prove me wrongheaded (yet again...)
