SKC has four keepers with pro potential in a three year window. I think Trejo has the most upside of the four, but Krenecki is the most polished of the four.
Swope Park also announced more guys on academy contracts: GK Max Trejo '02 CB Dylan Hooper,'03 DF Kaveh Rad '01 (not sure what type of DF) MF Tucker Lepley '02 (not sure what type of MF) https://www.sportingkc.com/post/201...an-hooper-kaveh-rad-and-tucker-lepley-academy
SPR vs. Bethlehem has a lot of youth. Hernandez starts for SPR, as do two academy guys making debuts: Max Trejo and Jacob Davis. Pulskamp, K. Rad, Little, Kuzain, and Harris on the bench. Bethlehem start Freese, Real, Ofeimu, Rayyan, and Turner as their back five, plus Fontana in the midfield. Shakes and Bohui on the bench.
.@USYNT U-20 goalkeeper David Ochoa with an early PK save for @RealMonarchs.From what I have, this is the 11th penalty kick save on 19 penalties faced for the Monarchs since the start of the 2017 season. #SLCvRNO #RSL #BeChampions pic.twitter.com/IofJnOVU8H— Nicholas Murray (@NJEMurray) April 6, 2019 45' - Ochoa again with a fingertip save to keep it clean!2-0 #SLCvRNO | #StrongerTogether— Real Monarchs (@RealMonarchs) April 6, 2019 Glad started this game as well, exited around the 60th minute 3-0 up, game ended 3-1. Ochoa has been playing well, timing-wise it’s worked out great for RSL to have a promising young keeper ball out for their second team as Rimando enters his final season
Carleton had his best game for Atlanta United 2 yesterday. He was everywhere. He had 8 shots, most of which were very close to being goals. The fact that none of them went in is bad luck. He could've had a hat-trick in this game. His passing was also on point with numerous very good passes to switch the field or play a player in. Atlanta had most of the possession, but they struggled to defend counter-attacks, so they lost the game. Poor refereeing also played a part. Despite Carleton playing well, you can still tell that he can't be as effective in this team. There are so many instances where he'll try to play a give and go, and the player takes too long to recognize it or will make a bad decision with the ball in a crowded space. These defenders and holding midfield players also don't have the vision or passing accuracy to execute passes between the lines to Carleton when he finds space centrally in the final third. Atlanta United had a week without a game, so this game helps him keep sharp. He's gotten slightly more playing time recently for de Boer than Martino gave him. George Campbell continues to play well. He's played a lot of minutes so far this season for Atlanta United 2. I wouldn't be surprised if he signs a professional contract. Lagos Kunga probably is not going to be an MLS level player.
That's encouraging to hear. It also is a reminder of how fluid young players' progressions are. They're up, they're down, they're world beaters, they're bums. For players who make a nice initial splash (e.g., Pulisic), this also holds true.
It's true, he's been playing well, we'll see what happens, since Maryland announced that he will attend with them. He very had a few minutes to do something, but yes, it is true that it will be difficult to get minutes in the MLS for him. He was a bit slow and played in a very predictable and repeated way, so the defenders already knew what he was going to do.
Perez has been playing on the right wing for NCFC. Sarachan's wingers are expected to do a lot of work defensively, and when the CDM picked up a red he ended up needing to do a lot more. Honestly, no idea. I'm expecting at least another loan after this one. It will be interesting to see if he moves to a European country with less strict requirements or is loaned to an MLS team.
Inbox: LA Galaxy II midfielder Kai Koreniuk has been voted the USL Championship Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2019 season. Koreniuk led Los Dos to its second consecutive victory with two goals in the span of four minutes early in the second half and added an assist on the Galaxy II’s final goal of the night as the side moved up to fifth place in the Western Conference standings. Ofeimu made the TOTW, while Zubak got an honorable mention.

Off-the-field news about what'll happen to Fresno: What Yallop and the Foxes ownership group need to find – and soon – is 15 to 20 acres, including parking. They want it to have the infrastructure needed for a 5,000-seat stadium, access to major roads including freeways and in a location soccer fans want to be. https://www.fresnobee.com/opinion/opn-columns-blogs/marek-warszawski/article229078449.html

Watched the NCFC vs ATLUTD2 game. Quick impression is that Carleton was the best player on the pitch and had a well earned assist. I was really impressed by Vint as well. Tall kid but good close control and strength. Honestly a big part of Atlanta being stronger this year is the fact that Goslin isn’t playing and Vint is. I’ll probably rewatch to catch more but that’s what jumped out. Perez had sub minutes but didn’t do much with them.
Ricardo Pepi scores the PK to seal FCDs 1-0 victory over Madison. 1117282551473811457 is not a valid tweet id Here was the starting XI for North Texas (6 thread eligible players.
