Valverde's first goal for Depor. He also had an assist last game that was very neat. Depor fans say they're very excited for him (has impressed in preseason so far)

That is some beckhamesque goal there...

Very similar to Beckham's early years:

Hopefully he is happy there for a couple of years, we are pretty full in midfield.

Beat me to it... I think this kid is gonna be the real deal, his composure and all around game are super impressive for an 18 year old CM. If he can avoid injuries it's hard to see how he doesn't end up being a very good player.

IMO forgotten is exactly what he needs to be at this point.

I think Llorente needs another loan. He won't get near enough playtime, even getting called up to the match squad on the bench will be a success.

We tend to get caught out easily when Casemiro is taken off though. Llorente would be nice option to have when Casemiro is in yellow card trouble like against Bayern and Barca last year. I do think ZZ will rotate more in La Liga and rest Casemiro to play Llorente in easier games.

  14. He has been enjoying himself on the outer side ( as I mentioned some days ago) and feels the confidence to do the things he is supposed to have in his capabilities. The coach a few weeks ago said something like : he has insane qualities" so I guess he's blossoming up in practice too.

A troll made a thread today called "Bustgaard". He has previously referred to Ødegaard as "Ødebust". He really doesn't like him. But we do. :)

I hope Vinicius Jr and Odegaard prove their detractors wrong and reach Asensio levels.

I would rather Ceballos but it seems that option was shut down by the player. Llorente/Kovacic can both play CM & DM, so I think they are enough cover for Kroos/Casemiro/Modric. That is 5 players for 3 positions - 3 established stars and 2 young understudies.

If we were to revert to 4-3-3, we would have 7 CM's for 3 positions. There is depth and there is waste - we would have the latter. Someone has to make a move elsewhere temporarily.

The problem with early moves is players lose their motivation to improve that much with a move already guaranteed. Ødengaard was slightly better managed with being placed in the youth team, but hope Vinicus can come good. Time can only tell.

Atleast both aren't busts insofar like Alen Halilovic the next best midfield guru

Kovacic's performances opened the exit door to Llorente (Sevilla most interested). He could leave on loan or with a repurchase option. [as]

Told ya. If Llorente could get a starting spot in Sevilla, that'd be amazing. Their captain (Iborra) got sold and they only bought a 7M player from the Mexican league for that position.

Llorente, Ceballos and one of Modric/Kova/Case would be my prefered midfield for all CDR games, if he's happy with that he should definitely stay, if not then we should loan him out to a good team.
