I have a feeling this guy's going to end up playing for someone else, not Barcelona. They take too damn long to figure out what they want and if this guy does good during the WC someone else will pick him in an instant.

Seh. He'll probably end up in Italy, Sampdoria apparently has been trying to but him. For 10 million euro he would be a steal. To be honest I don't know if he has a release clause besides the one he has with Barca. If he does have one that is bigger It would be great for Santa Fe and Pasto.

if they have 1st dibs on him will be tough unless he like I dont want to play there. Think that is too huge of a step. He better off to go somewhere else be a starter then Barca.

Barca apparently already have a 9m deal that can be activated up to the end of this summer. I think its unlikely they wouldn't activate it and at worst they wouldn't tell him what he wants to hear to sign him, its way too good a deal and would be stupid business by Barca to not get an asset worth probably 30-40m on the market right now. Honestly its best for Mina that he stay where he is until the World Cup, coming off a long lay off and leading up to the World Cup its better to stay where you are comfortable rather then integrate into a new team, which is one of the top 3 in the world, good for all involved imo and I think he'll do well at Barca.

him not starting for 6 months before the WC can be a major major issue for our chances..... he eats bench for Barca he will eat bench for Colombia and I personally dont want to see Cristian Zapata play at all in Russia

Its risky for him to move for Colombia for sure but he will play some at least, but I doubt he'll be in the first choice pairing barring injury. Umtiti has been amazing for Barca over the last year and Pique is a big personality for Barca and hard to see him being dropped. Umtiti is hurt right now but should be back in 4-6 weeks, Mina will compete and if he moves in January he will automatically be the 3rd CB since Masch and Vermaelen aren't better then him but I can't see him forcing himself into the first choice pairing if everyone is healthy this season.

I mean they play a crap ton of games but still rather see him play for a smaller team. Him commanding a crap defense against Real, Barca, Atletico is better for his development for him then playing every once awhile with the 2nd string against teams too afraid to attack

Would love if the Roma rumors were true. Great place to develop a young CB.

Mina is my 2nd or 3rd favorite Colombian player right now. Want to make sure he keeps developing think his ceiling is huge. He just needs to stay healthy and put some more muscle on his frame

Good I worry often whenever our players are overpriced, it costs them a move that could really bring a lot to their careers.

If he knows what’s better for him he should snub them like Davinson did and get some real European experience at a team he has a chance to start for.

    Bad example.

Different cases: Davinson snubbed them because he would be signed for Barcelona B (team of a lower division)..........Mina is going to Barcelona main team.

In this moment barcelona needs recinforcements. Mascherano is leaving and Umiti is injure.

    Vermaelen is crystal.

    Exactly ^

Mina would have a genuine shot at becoming a 1st team regular. he has to earn it sure but he has a shot at earning it. Completely different scenario to Davinson's.

Of course it’s different scenario but it has the same principles. If the sporting directors or Valverde really would’ve wanted him he would’ve been there by now. It’s an uphill battle of trying to bench Pique and Umtiti who has been outstanding. I
don’t question the guys quality but I can see a bunch of y’all now bitching at Valverde just like y’all did with Zidane about James. He should most definitely go to a smaller club and establish himself a bit first.
