    That was a good trio.

Unfortunately we had almost no one to cross them the ball those years to truly compare. :p

And now James plays too centrally for Colombia to be in position to cross. Corners are the only way we'll be an aerial threat until we get better wingbacks and wingers who can actually cross. Cuadrado is ok at best in that regard. Cardona doesn't have the pace for it.

Armero had three or four good crosses against Bolivia in March.
Unfortunately Muriel and Bacca did not know what to do with them.

Armero had the 2nd most assists for Colombia before the World Cup. If he could actually cross consistently, I mean like 4/10 times, he'd have been one of the best LBs in the world. Diaz and Arias are atrocious at crossing.

We've always had headers of the ball. Rarely has that been Colombia's success.

His reaction made me think of Falcao's. The kind where you know you're going to be out for a long time when something big is on the horizon. For Falcao it was the World Cup, for Mina it's his transfer

I think it's for about 4 weeks. If true that's not bad. As long as it's not a long term injury I'm okay with it.

It is a bit worrying that he is kind of injury prone

He is 6'5 and looks like he weighs 100 pounds. He needs get stronger but also jumping when you are that tall isn't great for your knees.

Out 4 weeks and misses next months qualifiers

Big loss for the qualifiers. How is Oscar Murillo doing? Davinson might have to step up for us.

Poor kid. Hopefully team close the deal while he and James are out and show some character- would do wonders for team self confidence.

Poor indeed. But like some mentioned here, today Colombia is having several excellent CB's which I'm fine with all of them, and this before we mentioned future prospects such as Carlos Cuesta or Jefferson Gomez. We'll be OK, I want to see Mina in Russia.

It would would be a pleasant surprise if he is miraculously ready for October but I don't know if he will be match fit.

He was an important factor in our victory against Paraguay last time around so I hope he can play.
