Wasn’t Medina awesome in Nacional under Osorio? I mean utter shit for the National team but for Nacional he was very very good and in Mexico I have seen him on their teams of the weak.

But yea super unfair to shit on a U20 CB haha

But what he says is true Give youth players a shot!!!

Now that it is official, time for Yerry to get to work. The hard part begins now!!

The learning curve is going to be quite steep these next few months :)

I'm very happy for Yerry, but I can't help this uneasy feeling almost sickening. I still think he should've waited it out until the summer to move. This looks to me like a "just in case" transfer by barca, and it's not like they broke the bank for him either. Hope that I'm wrong and he gets plenty of playing time leading to the WC because if we're to make any noise in Russia this man has to be tip top. Regardless good luck mi negro!

Barca has a 16 pt lead in La Liga over RM and 11 pt lead over 2nd place Atletico....pretty much has won the championship already. They are still competing in Copa Del Rey and Champions... plenty of opportunity awaits Mina to prove his worth.

i don't think Yerry had a say in when he wanted to go to Barca. Yerry's playing time is going to be directly related to how far Barca continues to progress in Copa Del Rey and CL

Next to Copa Del Rey games are 1/17 and 1/24 for QF
Champions League is 2/20 and 3/14

Similar thing happened with Cuadrado when he went to Chelsea - he was brought on to give cover to Will.i.An and shortly after the move Chelsea was bounced from CL so Chelsea has no reason to rotate their league winning starting 11.

so you're not wrong to feel that way, but i wouldn't worry about anything until/if Barca gets knocked out by Chelsea

No way Chelsea knock out Barca!

EPL is more over rated then the US NT.

100 million wow. Tho players who start at Barca or real don’t want to leave and can always say no

A former Barca player backed up Mina since he follows brazilian football. Like he said, Mina will need to be patient about this.

I heard that he was trying to push the move.

I think Mina wanted to go, he could have said no for sure, but he'll get an almost guaranteed La Liga title for half a season and get to play with the best player in history. Barca completely dominated Celta 5-0 in Copa Del Rey today, when Dembele is at top speed and Coutinho is integrated that team is going to be straight porn to watch, hopefully our boy can solidify himself in the squad soon because its going to be fun to play on that team for the next 2-3 years at least.

Even though timing with the World Cup is meh, this Barca team is right now the best team in the world probably and have a window to win a shitload of trophies if they can keep everyone healthy and on the same page.

Pele doesn't play for Barça...he's retired!!
But as for Mina, he will start getting some intensive coaching in the Blaugrana way of playing, and as Kromekote said, with the cushion in points ahead of their rivals, he should be getting an opportunity, as a sub at least, in the near future.

Pele isn't close to Messi other then his longevity and world cups. If you had to chose one player its Messi. Best passer, dribbler and goal scorer and doing it at a time when defenses are much more organized and teams are more defensive.

Yeah but remember that this generation has more advantages in developing players such as the science behind their training, the cleats that they wear, and the ball that they play with.

There are many advances within sport that give more recent generations a advantage over the older ones.

Messi should be the best ever, but he's not. He simply lacks the testicular fortitude to be the best ever.

What i expect to see from the best ever, which is what we saw from Maradona, is a player that when the going gets tough puts the team in his shoulders and goes above and beyond to get the win.

What we've seen from Messi in Barcelona and Argentina is a player that will why away from the moment and look frustrated.

Soccer is a team sport. I'm not like those fans that judge him for not winning with Argentina. My issue is that in those big games for Argentina, he doesn't even look like he's trying. Same with Barcelona vs Juve last year for example.

Maradona was that guy for me. Whether he had to dribble through an entire team or even cheat, he was going to do whatever it took to win. Jordan is the same way. Messi simply is not

Kind of tough to shit on a player when a team is 11 dudes.

Lebron had to leave Cleveland because it just couldn’t be done there.

In national teams it’s the same thing. Argentina’s players are over hyped they have great offensive players historically but come on their defenders are shit. GKs are just ok. Their god like MF players are few and far between but they have Italian grandmas so they are 50% of foreign players in Spain and Italy

How many black people Played when Pele was playing? How awful was Panama or Bolivia at that point player wise

Better training and more people playing is exactly why any current top player is better then any historical top player.

I still think Ronaldinho was the best ever he just didn’t have the discipline. I also think Cristano is better then Messi.

Barca is a much much stronger team then Real.

Esto no ocurre con todos...............solo hay que ver como sobresalen defensas argentinos y porteros de ese pais en nuestra liga u otras ligas no europeas para ver que en verdad si tienen mucho potencial.

I really looking forward for his debut. I'm trying to be objective here, I really think that he is the best defender of Barca, but I guess he won't get to start right away since it's the middle of the season and the team is doing great.

I guess everything has been said already. I wish him a long career at Barca. He's got what it takes. The timing is not great but I'm happy the deal is finally done.

    Messi > Maradona > ... Falcao > Pele

Why are team names on player threads they should all be “player name” news and comments!!!
