Yeah, still in the math zone, but there's still a different level of quality to that team than the bottom 5, even with some shockingly poor results (and a stinker of a GD. Come on fellas.) No way they drop below all 8 or so teams worse than them.
I don't think Everton are in danger of going down, but I think more than five teams that could end up in it. A couple of wins on the bounce, and a team will soar up the table. A couple of losses on the bounce, and anybody in the bottom half is right in it.
I was an MLS season ticket holder until I moved. I can confidently state some of the best football I watched on many a Saturday was at Clink but I support local football. My son's in the RSL system, we go to USL games, watch MLS and generally support American football on all levels.
Bottom-feeding Premiership clubs have nothing on MLS tactically. They just have some better players. Not a compliment to either, by the way.
Okay, let's not turn the Yedlin thread into an MLS/Premiership comparison thread. We've already got one of those.
Count me as somebody who finds no interest in relegation fights. Teams trying hard and playing like crap just don't do it for me.
I just hope he's getting credit where it's due at the club. That the fans and manager appreciate him.
I just hope the checks clear. And he gets to get away from Newcastle as much as possible... like, whenever he's not actually on the field. Yedlin should get a helicopter, tbh. All Newcastle players should. Live in Woolacombe or something. Fly in for practice and games... From what I've seen DY has improved at NUFC while getting paid a bit. Hard not to like this move, even though it's NU
What was once said about african countries actually applies to Newcastle... It's probably not that bad. I've not been to spend any time at all in years, but it tends to be one of the brunt of jokes due to being an old coal/port town that had seen better days in beginning of the 20th century. But honestly, I've only past by/through in the last 10-15 years and it could be the next florence by now for all I really know. I just like to trash it "cuz Gooch."
I spent 3 days in Birmingham in early January 2017. It was depressing. Like people literally drank and that was it. I was pretty shocked considering it's like the 2nd biggest city in England right? I've been as north as Newton Aycliffe, which was near Sunderland if I can recall. I guess Northern England has such a different vibe.
Been there too. There is a reason why that whole area is depression capital in the UK. Still, Newcastle is better than Sunderland.
