I saw one game report but no mention of injury. However, I could have been distracted laughing at the British football media for calling 83 degrees Fahrenheit sweltering conditions that required water breaks during the match.
Didn't play against Wolfsburg, and Toon won, 3-1. Hopefully, Dre gets back in the lineup for the last friendly before his replacement (Manquillo) wins his spot.
Yedlin is a far better player. And if he doesn't prove it long term, missing this preseason game won't be why.

Very bad news with qualifiers coming up. Well guys is it going to be Graham Zusi or Sebas Lletget(edit:just remembered he is still recovering)?
By what standard is Yedlin a "far better player" than Manquillo? We are rooting for our guys, but I'm not going to get carried away. Manquillo could turn out to be more than capable of holding down that starting spot. As it stands now, it's Manquillo's spot to lose
Both - Manquillo will be the man in possession and Yedlin's a better RB - can be true. It will be up to Yedlin to make Rafa "an offer he can't refuse" in training and steal Manquillo's place from him.
The Guardian's pre-season profile is up. Written by Louise Taylor, it's pretty good. This line sums up the Newcastle conundrum: As long as Benítez remains in charge of Newcastle a potentially very exciting future beckons – but while Ashley remains the owner there will always be an element of fear about what may be lurking round the corner. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/08/premier-league-2017-18-preview-newcastle-united
