There are two pictures, and it looks like he did have a chance at the ball. Still dumb. Practicing hard is not the same as taking unnecessary risks.

respectfully disagree. i feel this is a soccer myth. just off the top of my head i can think of an awful lot of ankle and knee injuries that came from going too hard and particularly from sliding. so you think if gibbs stays on his feet in that situation he's more likely to injure donovan and himself?
