To add to that, he played in a recent friendly of the FCN U23 team against lower league FC Bad Kohlgrub. FCn won 10-1 and George scored 1 goal. http://www.fcn.de/news/artikel/u23-siegt-zweistellig/ I'm guessing the loan will take place later, but who knows?
There was an article in the local AZ newspaper that George will stay in Nürnberg. Seems to be true since he's still there.
What seems to be the knock on George? Is it just his attitude or is it something else? He seems to score frequently (I know it's the 2nd team).
Jann scored today (82nd minute) in Nurnberg II's 2-1 victory over Gruether Furth II in the Regionalliga Bayern. Apparently this match was a derby so good for Jann. Article about the match. http://www.bfv.de/cms/seiten/news_archiv_85656_nuernberg_gewinnt_derby_in_fuerth_93632.html
Jann George is out at FC Nurnberg for being a headcase He insulted his coach after being criticized. His loan to Slovakia failed. He's free too look for another club. http://www.bfv.de/cms/seiten/news_archiv_85656_george_aus_nuernberger_kader_gestrichen_96247.html
Damn.. There have been hints at an attitude throughout the thread but I'm surprised FCN booted him. Maybe a message needed to be sent and this is a wake up call to George. I hope he pulls his head out his butt and realizes that nothing is given despite your talent. You have to wonder how long he'll be unattached or if his 'tude problem will scare to others off and basically blacklist him.
I don't know anything about the culture of German sports, but in America, he would be picked up in a second.
He will probably be picked by a small RL club. Bigger clubs won't be interested, he doesn't seem to be anything special; expect offers from the likes of Viktoria Aschaffenburg, VfL Frohnlach or FC Memmingen.
From what little I've seen, I don't even think he's that good. Perhaps he has talent somewhere, but it's not so screamingly obvious as to make his BS worth the headache, in my opinion.
Disagree. He is a smart player plus he has the physical tools to match it. He was best player in Nurnberg II. But enough was enough with his temper. A club will pick him up, and he will either get the message or his career will never take off. And he will be kicking himself for the next 20 years on how he could have been in the Nurnberg First team and making it, rather than being dropped.
Yea we've been hearing that he's a pretty decent talent for a while now. Hecking had him in the first team plans or w/e....blah blah blah
http://www.fussball-vorort.de/verei...2/jann-george-wechsel-loewen-fvo-2642786.html After Bobby Wood made it to 1860's first team some positions in our U23 got free....
Talent is there. Head unfortunately never was, and in the end Nürnberg decided to cut their losses. Bit sad because he had been at the club since a really young age. Oh well, perhaps 1860 and their excellent youth work can sort him out.
