In all honesty, the last time I saw Fab play was in his first couple of starts at the beginning of the season so 2+ months ago. IIRC, He played LF in a 4-3-3 and then LCM in a 4-3-1-2.. He seemed very quick and very pacy. I would say at this stage he is still in the Morris and Pulisic range as far as quickness but behind Morris as far as top end pace.

https://www.skysports.com/football/...ffered-chance-to-sign-usa-defender-aaron-long (Reposting from the YA sub-forum this was buried in) According to SkySports, Long has renewed interest from Europe this upcoming transfer window, this time from Southampton and Marseille. No word whether West Ham is still interested.
Up until this last game I though he didn't deserve the interest because his form hadn't been that good lately. Against Canada he showed why clubs should be interested. He showed some some great speed and cleaned up a lot of problems. He's a good partner for Brooks.
Yeah, I thought he hadn't been consistently good this year either, but maybe he's one of those cases where a spurned transfer move made his form suffer for a bit.
There's an interview out there somewhere today about Ream. He mentions he and Long talk about their similarities and it does sound like Long is trying to figure stuff out which means he's no longer 100% dialed in for RBNY.
It'll be easier for him to go to West Ham now that he has the requisite National Team Caps to get a work permit.....he didn't have that over the Summer.
I certainly hope that Long becomes this cycle's Geoff Cameron. Long has similar freakish run/jump athleticism for his size but lacks GCam's ball skills and passing. Cameron alternated between CB and CDM in MLS. Cameron was successful in the EPL because he was athletically flexible enough to play as a RB in a defensive side. I suspect that Long could do the same. The EPL because of the pace of play is very much about athleticism especially for the lower tier squads.
This is OT, but if you google "fastest soccer player" or something like that, you'll come up with some page that has Pulisic having the 38th fastest top speed in the world. That is flying. I wonder if Morris is faster than Puli.
According to BuLi Mag, Pulisic has been clocked in a match at 21.4 mph. Last I checked, Johnson still holds the top speed at 22.1 mph. Morris to my eyes seems faster than both but power runners do tend to look faster than gliders. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/...-leckie-fastest-bundesliga-players-461876.jsp
US U23 training with Nurnberg. The kind of kid that needs to make a move if he hopes to stay ahead of the onrushing pack of central midfielders from the U20s.
Also, interest in Gianluca Busio of SKC and the US U17s continues to expand. Lots of smoke here. Transfer interest in #USMNT U-17 star Gianluca Busio is ramping up, w/sources confirming to me a recent Italian report of a looming Fiorentina bid (I'm told it's more than $3M).
