Siebatcheu today had his first start in over a month after being out due to injury. He had a brace, both goals scored with his left foot, and according to their Twitter also nearly had a third goal (off the post) and a "superb" assist. Reims are all but assured of promotion to Ligue 1 and he's their best player. Here's video of his performance. Goal 1 sequence starts at 0:39, Goal 2 sequence starts at 1:42. He wears "Pefok", his mother's last name, on the back of his shirt. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ht5rt
Brian Sciaretta confirmed that the fed attempted to call him up to the US U23s for a camp before the Olympic qualifying playoff in 2016 vs. Colombia, but Reims denied the request (no word on what Jordy himself wanted). Nothing known since then, but we have tried before, at least under Klinsmann. Certainly deserving of a US senior callup now, especially since he is in real contention for France U21s and Cameroon seniors.
Seems like a minor injury. Gutted to be missing out today but nothing too serious, back training hopefully in a few days. Ha’way the lads! 🤞🏼🔴⚪️ https://t.co/t5KyS1MPHq— Lynden Gooch (@LyndenGooch) April 14, 2018

Hope he plays well. Especially cause it's the playoffs for Europa League. There's a lot on the line and if he plays bad I doubt he gets another chance with them. He plays well and helps them to Europa or even on a deep run and he will get better offers for loan next year.
Another good performance from Palmer-Brown. Didn't put a foot wrong defensively, including some vital interceptions and clearances. His passing wasn't good today, got caught on the ball once or twice and his passing wasn't accurate. The one time in resulted in anything bad for his team he was able to deflect the shot from the other team, which caused an easy save for the goalie. Later in the game though, his passing improved, so probably just a rusty 70 minutes at the office in that department. But his defending was very good today. Kortrijk won 2-1, so hopefully he keeps his place for the next match.
The big match on Monday in the 2. Bundesliga is Holstein Kiel vs. Nuremberg. American-born goalkeeper (born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, likely to a US military parent) Kenneth Kronholm has started all but one of Kiel's league matches, conceding 37 goals in 29 matches. Today he was named the 2. Bundesliga player of the matchday by one publication for his performance at Dynamo Dresden last Saturday. https://www.liga-zwei.de/holstein-kiel-kenneth-kronholm-ist-spieler-des-spieltags/ Holstein Kiel are currently 3rd in the league, sitting in the promotion playoff spot. Nuremberg are 2nd place, two points ahead sitting in an automatic Bundesliga promotion spot, which Kiel would take over with a win. Kronholm deserves serious consideration for a USMNT callup as the only American keeper sniffing a top league, and his agent has already contacted the USSF informing them of his eligibility. He's 32, but that is not too old for a keeper, and Kiel have recently shown faith in him by extending his contract three more years. Even if the USSF overlooks him, we should be rooting for an American goalkeeper to make it to the Bundesliga. https://www.liga-zwei.de/holstein-kiel-kronholm-bald-nationalspieler/
Mix continues to be red hot! In Sweden, American MF @MixDiskerud had the assist in @IFKGoteborg's 1-0 victory over Dalkurd. He had scored in each of his previous two matches. Across all competitions, 4 goals, 1 assist in 8 matches in 2018.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) April 19, 2018
Tim Ream made team of the week again: https://sbisoccer.com/2018/04/tim-ream-named-to-championship-team-of-the-week
Mix probably could've stayed in MLS on another team but I suppose with his wages nobody else wanted to give him a DP contract. I wouldn't mind seeing him back with the US as a #10 since we lack in that position. Interesting squad of players we have in the Scandinavian leagues recently: Amon, Gall (is doing pretty well with his club this season, Sabbi (lost his starting spot recently and needs to get more G+A), and Mix all playing for their clubs in the first division.
Siebatcheu began on the bench today as Reims already earned the Ligue 2 title and promotion to Ligue 1, but he substituted into the second half and scored twice. He's currently the second-leading scorer in Ligue 2 despite missing a handful of matches due to injury.
Wood delivers a priceless PK to put Hamburg up 1-0 on Wolfsburg and as i finish typing, Hamburg just put up a second. Two points back from getting heads above water; Mainz, Feiburg, and Wolfsburg are their targets to catch.
Fulham have now gone 23 games unbeaten and sit 2nd in the Championship with Tim playing a key role. I know people have kinda written Ream off for the USMNT, but he's REALLY had an outstanding season. I saw an article recently indicating he could be selected as Fulham's Player of the Year. Could easily be a Premier League starter next season, so maybe folks should put him back on their radars. He's 30...........not 35. We have a lot of good, young talent coming thru at CB and having a veteran to be an assistant coach on the field..................is a great thing. When Tim's career is over we're probably going to look back and think it was a little underappreciated. He's now played ~250 games for Bolton and Fulham.
Playing in a big league shouldn't get you on the NT radar. See: Morales, Williams. Ream has struggled just about every time he's played for the NT. He's not shown to be good enough. If Timmy Chandler can't get into the NT after being one of the Bundesliga's best full-backs for a few seasons, why should Ream?
this is why i want Fulham up again so bad, despite obvious nostalgic purposes Ream has toiled and worked so hard, he deserves a couple of seasons in the big time. Id love to see it.
EPB starts. One of the starting CB's is now out for the season, so EPB could get a run of games towards the end of the season. Opstelling van de Kerels 🆚 @lierse! ⚽💪🔥 #KVKlie #COYRBank: Bruzzese, Kovacevic, Ouali, Papazoglou, Van der Bruggen, Lentz, Ivanof, Verboom, Hoxha pic.twitter.com/pQi75svPI3— KV Kortrijk (@kvkofficieel) April 28, 2018
Not suggesting Tim Ream doesn't deserve the Fulham player of the season. I think it may go to Ryan Sessegnon. If Fulham go up and want to keep the young phenom and perhaps his twin brother. They may give it to him. Especially since he just won player of the year award for Championship at 17 years old. If they go up it may be political decision within the club. Great season by Tim Ream and i wouldn't mind him getting called up. Even though the youth movement, surely, has to be the way.
Excellent match by Palmer-Brown. Kortrijk outplayed Lierse badly. They won 2-1, but it could've been like 5-0. The only goal Kotrijk allowed was the fault of the other CB, if someone deserves blame. It was mostly just a nice goal. There were two attackers in the center of the box, the guy who ended up scoring the goal flashed across the box from right to left, so EPB had to let him go as there was a guy closer to him on his side of the center. The other CB didn't seem to notice that he had responsibility to mark an attacker, and that left the goal-scorer open. Nothing EPB could've done better as he would've had to mark two players going in different directions. The rest of the game he made a number of nice plays. It wasn't an onslaught by Lierse or even close, but there were still some defensive plays to make, and he made all of them.
