Wow, Canadian tradition of calling very young players to Senior NT goes on: Huitema recently impressed at WWC qualifier at her age-level, but she's just 16! Anyway, if I remember correctly, other players, like Fleming or Rose, were called when they were even younger...
Why there were subtitles in French, since she was speaking French? Were they really needed? It seemed to me that her spelling in French was quite good (after all, although she lived in USA; she said both her parents are French) and that what she was saying was very clear (yes, there were some particular turns of phrase, but it didn't seem so "strange" to me to need for subtitles).

Karen Bardsley named to England squad for SheBelieves Cup: #SheBelieves INCOMING 🚀4 of the best teams in the world. 3 amazing cities. Only 1 winner. Bring it on.Our squad 👉 https://t.co/BG4AgV6yXQ #Lionesses pic.twitter.com/IL1lDx5epW— Lionesses (@Lionesses) February 20, 2018
She tweeted out an apology for her accent: 964838675115888640 is not a valid tweet id Sorry for my accent and my faults but that she dreams of having been called in team France.
She fooled me. I thought her French sounded good -- but maybe it sounded good to me because American-accented French is easier for an American to understand than French French.
It sounded quite decent to me also, who am Italian and have been in France quite often. Obviously "purists" don't agree.
Mexico called in a couple of squads: WNT: Maria Sanchez Kiana Palacios Annia Mejia Kaitlyn Johnson Bianca Henninger Monica Flores Vanessa Flores Renae Cuellar Arian Calderon https://miseleccion.mx/convocatoria-la-seleccion-nacional-mexico-femenil-2/ U15s: Lindsi Campos (FC Dallas McAllen) Danna Aranda (Felinas Hidalgo, TX) As with most players this age, no confirmation on dual citizenship yet. https://miseleccion.mx/la-snm-femenil-sub-15-concentracion-2/
Another squad for Mexico, the U17s: Nicole Soto (So Cal Blues) (Ashley's sister, so should be US citizen) Clarissa Ramirez (FC Legends) (confirmed US by USSDA) Vanessa Buso (FC Legends) (formerly with US U15s) The squad even has the rare Mexican-Canadian call-up. https://miseleccion.mx/la-snm-femenil-sub-17-concentracion-3/
I'm hoping to see several players on the pitch in the Mexico/US games. --Sofia Huerta, the first player to play on the National Team both for and against the US, may become the first player to play for and against Mexico. --Katie Johnson, I want to see how she does playing against the US. --Maria Sanchez, from Idaho, as is Huerta, and a soccer prodigy as a youngster -- she scored the ungodly total of 178 goals for a small town high school, but how will she do against the top talent of the US? --Tania Morales, the best player bar none in the Liga Mx Femenil, 31 years old, and to my knowledge hasn't played on the Mexican National Team since 2011, but may be getting a second life. --Lucero Cuevas , the top goal scorer in the Liga Mx Femenil. --And Charlyn Corral, the tough little forward, who played a role in getting Leonardo Cuellar fired (at last) as the women's national team coach.
