Another unusual story... American HS player (who only played on a boys' team in her last year) is going to Doncaster to play for the WSL2 club as an amateur on the development squad: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/...d-play-professional-soccer-england/484743001/ Battle Creek's Marti Floyd took the road less traveled. After three standout seasons for the Lakeview High School girls soccer team, she opted not to come out her senior year so she could play travel club ball with the boys team at Alliance Academy based in Grand Rapids. Floyd is expected to join the developmental squad, which offers her the opportunity to be called up to the bench of the club team on a week-to-week basis. She will attend Leeds Beckett University in West Yorkshire where she will also play soccer.

McFarlane played for North Carolina from 2013 through 2016, making it to the NCAA tournament every year and leading the team to the College Cup as co-captain in 2016. Hard to know with what little info we get on these squads.
