Lazy might be a strong word (I guess). Whether you're discovering this thread anew or saw it mature in real time, people agree it's a good story. Fans of this thread simply ask you to carve away some time (a good trip to the toilet) and read what unfolds. Be mindful of the dates on posts. It was simpler times back then. Hardly any Americans playing abroad - it was exciting. Please, just read it. A synopsis wouldn't do it justice. Do you want a synopsis of Star Wars (or whatever your favorite movie is) or actually watch it? You just need to know how to speed read BigSoccer. Also, I think BigSoccer can be really tedious and annoying sometimes. This thread shows how BigSoccer can be really positive.
I remember all of the talk about Elliot and Weah Jr as the new strike partnership along with both Adu's (Freddie and Fro). Good times. I hope that this thread is archived somewhere for posterity. US Soccer Hall of Fame? How about Bigsoccer.com Hall of Fame?
i did it instead of sleeping a few nights back, totally didn't regret it. i only regretted reading every post of like 30 plus pages of random tangents lol
You could read one post a day and still finish this thread in a shorter period than this thread has run. Or you could wait for Parm's book.
This thread had it all. The desperation posts about his availability for the US. Persistent posts about his status Posters having connections in clubs The letdown (for some) in Italy like Bernardo and Ferrari Would be in his prime for this WC.
Some people will never make love to a woman. So what? Stop asking for a ************** and enjoy the experience.
Nah.. This guy https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/hawaiian-kid-has-some-sick-skills-dob-11-16-95.532974/
... who, just to make those of us who are old feel old, is scheduled to be a college senior this fall!
While looking for something else this morning, I realized that I'm very disappointed in all of you YA long-timers who didn't bump this thread to argue that "Weston McKennie is NOT the first American at Juventus!!!" (Especially @Parmigiano!)
He played for the Primavera team. Surely that means he was "at" Juventus. Of course, McKennie has managed to surpass that.
It's been almost 2 years since anyone has bumped the greatest thread in Big Soccer history...consider it done!
