So I was watching the MLS games on YP last night. Switched back to one of the games, and I got a DirectTV logo. From what I could find out, YP uses the feeds of most (if not all) regional broadcasts as well as a few others that aren't on TV (I watched a midweek game in spanish.) That makes me think that yahoo is using the direct tv feed. So, if I watch those games, does that count as a DirecTV shootout viewer? Does MLS see any of my money? (thread on MLS N&A states that MLS makes money off the shootout).
Probably not. But Yahoo is a league sponsor, so if there's any revenue to be had, they probably get some of it.
