A thread for the Yahoo Fantasy game, which can be found at http://soccer.yahoo.co.jp/fantasy/jleague/

How did you guys do after round 1? I ended up with 46 fp as Oita scored more than I had anticipated..

A quick question though, do players receive fp for assisting goals?

60 fp for me this week! Unfortunately I do not believe that players get points from assists since I cannot find it on the scoring chart.

terrible for me. 37 pts. Had Kashiwagi and Mizumoto on the bench who both got 8 pts each:(. And had Komano and Konno in the starting eleven who got -7 and -1 each. And Fujimoto and Ganaha who didn't play. I gotta make a few changes.

I think you can join now, but you would miss out on the points from the first round :(

Yeah, I had Kashiwagi on the bench too, but I have a feeling he could do great this season

I looked at the winners points from last year and to win, we need around 70 fp average each round! SamuraiBlue you aren't far off, but we'll need to try to catch up next round :p

Do you guys know that you don't need bench player right? I have no bench players so I just buy the best players.

Yeah, having only 11 players is probly the best for short term, but the additional 4 lets us hold players for as a long term investment. For example, we could get younger players cheaply who we think will become good by the end of this season. If the game lasted for more than a season, then it would definitely be worth it, but now I'm not so sure.

So which players are good bargains for round 2?

Kashiwagi did well in round 1 and is not too expensive ^^

Still think that Haraguchi is one of the steals in the league. At only 700 its hard to overlook him. Also try Nishikawa, I know that he didn't have the best game last week, but for around 4000 its a steal for a good goalkeeper. Another player that I think would be good is Nishimura on Shimizu. Last year he scored 8 goals and with S-Pulse's high powered offense he should increase his total this season.

63 points. Any idea why Kota Ueda didn't play last week? Wasn't even on the bench I think.

And yeah, I think I got lucky with Mizutani as my goalkeeper. Kyoto aren't exactly the best defensive team out there...

I think Kashiwagi and Makino would be must-buys. Also, I'd recommend Grampus' Sugimoto. Although he didn't have much time to make an impact last week, he usually plays the super-sub role very well. He comes on the cheap as well, slightly more expensive than Kashiwagi.

    I spoke too soon, i got 46.

now my lineup's: Kawashima, Mizumoto, Stoyanov, Makino, Yoshida, Park Dong Hyuk, Kashiwagi, Taniguchi, Suganuma, Davi, Sato.

with Haraguchi and Hideo Oshima on the bench. Did anybody see Oshima's goal against Tokyo. Good piece of control and great finish

Oh, looks like they've calculated the bonus points and added it on now, so my points have increased to 60, what a nice surprise :p

Have any of you got into the top 10 of your leagues or so?

84 points for the week, quite a good return I think.

Should be going with the following team for next week: Mizutani, Uchida, Makino, Yasuda, Terada Shinichi, Taniguchi, Kashiwagi, Ogawa, Sato, Sugimoto, Chong Tese.

    Re: Yahoo Fantasy J League

Defenders, a couple of them will depend on who they're playing, I like Makino cause he goes forward a lot and Park Dong Hyuk has been good so far. But this week no Makino as they're against Gamba and Tatsuya Ishikawa is playing cause they're against Chiba.

Kawashima, Ishikawa, Yoshida, Park Dong Hyuk, Nozawa, Kanazaki, Kashiwagi, Sugiyama, Sato, Davi, Pedro Junior. (Mizumoto, Makino, Osako)

    Re: Yahoo Fantasy J League

Who did you guys pick for round 5? I thought this week was much harder to choose a team because many of the stronger teams are playing away and have played ACL and its hard to pick favourites

    atm I have

Shimizu; Ishikawa, Tulio, Gilton; Alex, Kashiwagi, Kanazaki, Park Chu Ho; Marquinhos, Osako, Sato

this lineup gave me 92 points last round, propelling me into 8th place within Miyazaki ^^

Also, watch out because we have to submit our lineups for next round a day earlier than usual this time

I've been kicking myself all day today. I dropped Pedro Junior and look what he does. Scores a ********ing hattrick. Really pissed. Dam you Sanfrecce Hiroshima!

I thought about putting Pedro Junior on the team, too, but stupidly put Tatsuya on there, instead.

At least I'll get some points from Davi and Edmilson.
