That's our chance. Don't forget that we still have a Birgit Prinz in front...

And many will depend on how we'll cope with Marta and Christiane! Let's hope that our defence will be as strong as it was until now.

Fantastic victory for the German ladies against an incredibly unsympathetic Brazilian team thanks to goals by Prinz and Laudehr!!! Nadine Angerer for president...

    :D

It was a hard-fought win, in a pretty much even contest. Both teams had their chances in the 1st half -with Brazil the somewhat better side-, in the 2nd Prinz scored early, Brazil blew their chances -Angerer had a world-class save at a Brazilian free kick, shortly after Marta's missed penalty- and a late header secured the victory. Congratulations to the German ladies!

For me it was nearly a repeat of the 2002 final only that the roles were reversed.

You had Brasil that made it suprsingly to the final only to meet on of the top favorites.

And the player who led them to the Final (Marta, Kahn) makes a critical mistake
    that led to the loss.

Congratulations to all! I'm extremely happy to see Germany's Women's NT dominate world football like that. Unbelievable to go through the entire tournament and not concede a single goal. Some news articles praise clinical german efficiency and defense but they attacked well too and scored whenever needed. Brilliant!

    Good win!

And great timing in general because it's about time some german team won something. Too many 3rd place awards recently...
