writing cover letter to reusume

well how do you write a resume for a dishwashing place?? i would rather fill out an application but it ask for a resume at the bottom? WTF

also what skills can i put down bsides washing dishes

what i got for far:

Dear To Whom It May Concern:

I am responding to your advertisement on the job opening at Whole Food Supermarket regarding the dishwashing position. Please find my resume showing my education, experience, and background.

My reason for wanting this opening is because I have a strong desire to remain in active and productive employment while I pursue my life goals. I feel that with my initiative, work can be carried in an orderly matter at your workplace.

May I arrange an interview to further discuss my qualifications? I am available for an interview at a mutually convenient time.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Take out "May I arrange an interview to further discuss my qualifications?" You don't want to have a question in the cover letter. You could turn the question into a statement like, "I am looking forward to an interview to further discuss my qualifications."

Body of Cover Letter

Middle Paragraphs:
The next section of your cover letter should describe what you have to offer the employer. Convince the reader that they should grant the interview or appointment you requested in the first paragraph. Make strong connections between your abilities and their needs. Mention specifically how your skills and experience match the job you are applying for. Remember, you are interpreting your resume, not repeating it. Try to support each statement you make with a piece of evidence. Use several shorter paragraphs or bullets rather than one large block of text.

Final Paragraph:
Conclude your cover letter by thanking the employer for considering you for the position. Include information on how you will follow-up. State that you will do so and indicate when (one week's time is typical). You may want to reduce the time between sending out your resume and follow up if you fax or e-mail it.
