Thinking that OverseasView is going to have a rough Thursday morning with KY winning 7-1 over Wright St.
It was the B team, as the first choice players are now rested for key conference games. (plus my Jérémie being suspended after his sacrificial Suarezesque red card). So the trashing is somehow "not worrying"... somehow...
Loss against Green Bay. Dominated but no killer instinct, no real drive to win a winnable match. Strange… GB had very few scoring opportunities and scored on an individual defensive mistake at the 86th minute (however a nice shot). Then WSU missed a penalty at the 89th! https://wsuraiders.com/news/2019/11/2/mens-soccer-wright-state-falls-on-senior-night.aspx?path=msoc Luckily they are still alive in the race to the tournament. They must win Saturday against IUPUI to be in the sixth. In the meantime, on Tuesday non conference game against Bowling Green.
I was happy to be able to watch a certain center back in action Friday night against IUPUI. It was fun to explain to my wife exactly why I wanted to watch that game instead of another Hallmark Christmas movie. She loves teasing me about my "e-friends" from the internet.
I frequently post in socalsoccer.com and I provide enough personal information there that some people have figured out who I am IRL. It's a web forum where most people try to hide their identity for one reason or another (such as complaining about their kid's coach and don't want him to know) I have been approached by referees, parents, and coaches asking "Aren't you espola?" One time the President of the local club greeted me in the parking lot of our kids' indoor soccer game (opposite teams) and asked me to serve on the Club BOD (I lasted on the Board longer than he did). Then there was the time my kid's club coach started a conversation at practice by saying he agreed with me in a long-running disagreement over several threads with a local referee - I didn't realize he knew anything about the internet at all. It's nice to have friends, even ones you don't know who they are.
Thanks for your post. It warms my heart to read your nice and humorous words. I like this college soccer forum as all members are football fans and just share their love for the game and their team. No trolls, no anger, no hatred. Just genuine nice people with often a lot of humor. I hope you enjoyed the game. It was a one way match, as the Raiders seem to play as a team when there is urgency and IUPUI was weak. For Jérémie, I understand he had a quiet evening. He did not have to be agricultural Tomorrow 2 PM, tournament’s quarter final against Green Bay. WSU lost against them 1-0, One week ago, but shouldn’t have with a minimum of focus and involvement. I was there (the senior night made me visit Jérémie a second time): a lot of talented players but too often not with the head on their shoulders. Let’s see whether they want to save their season.
Horizon Conference's semi finals game this night (7PM central) against Oakland, @ Flames Field (Chicago, Illinois) The Raiders and Golden Bears met in regular-season action, with Oakland coming away with a 3-2 victory in overtime. This should be a disputed game, hoping the weather will allow attractive football. Go raiders ! https://wsuraiders.com/news/2019/11...-face-oakland-in-hl-semifinals.aspx?path=msoc
Merci Sandon, indeed the last yards….. It is now over six years and half that you guys welcomed me in this wonderful forum: few months before Romeo joined Pitt. Time flies so fast… Am I going to cry ?
So Raiders still alive and a dad able to continue to write weird Froglish terms in this forum…. A convincing 4-1 win (not agricultural) against Oakland sends WSU raiders to the conference final. The Raiders advance to take on Milwaukee on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. CT in Chicago: will be on ESPN+. https://wsuraiders.com/news/2019/11...als-send-wright-state-to-hl-championship.aspx

I cannot see the game… (stream geo-localized by clever marketing guys…). According to the stats WSU seems better in the game. 5 shots against 1.
LUCKY 13⁉️ We were field level for Deri Corfe’s 13th goal of the season.. check it out below!🐺⚽️#RaiderUp | #HLMSOC pic.twitter.com/rWXl7aNheI— Wright State Men's Soccer (@WSU_Mens_Soccer) November 16, 2019

I don't know whether it is still the golden goal in OT for a finale. Could it be different from the matches of the regular season?
